Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the picture quality, price, large screen, and easy setup of the 70" Class - LED - E-Series - 2160p - Smart - 4K UHD TV with HDR. They appreciate the great clarity, affordability, size, and user-friendly installation process. However, customers are negative about the remote control, durability, Smartcast, speakers, and limited apps. They have concerns about the remote's responsiveness, the occasional inconsistency of the Smartcast feature, the low-quality built-in speakers, and the limited number of apps and lagging issues.

Hello Kennrn, Thank you for the feedback. A few things that might help you get the kind of picture quality you are looking for. First, make sure the Display is getting a hi-definition or 4K signal. This means making sure that you're source device (like a cable/satellite box) is capable of HD or 4K, and that it's connected to your Display with an HDMI cable that can deliver the HD or 4K picture. You can also change between pre-set picture modes on the display by pressing the PIC button on your remote. This will toggle between a few picture setting that look good in different situations. If your display is in a bright room try Vivid or Calibrated. If it’s in a dimmer room try Calibrated Dark. Please contact our customer support at 877-878-4946 for assistance with your Apple TV. Volume NEVER works when you turn the TV on, you have to turn on twice in order for volume to work....THEN...when turning OFF the TV, it comes back on and have to turn it off 2 times!! We called Vizio, which is Sony, they know about this problem! What the heck?

Nothing In It's Class - Let me explain...

If you are a imagery snob, then price isn't going to be much of an object, so go get an LG or Sony OLED – period. However, if you want to max your budget in terms of size and quality this is the set to get! To give you a baseline, I've been in the LED and printer markets for over a decade (color theory, all that junk). Thus, I'm on that snobbery level, which is why I picked up a very nice 900e 55" Sony for the living room. It's the best I could get for what I could afford. I could have gone larger, but image quality was more important than size for the living room. But I digress, back to the Vizio! OVERALL: I would give the Vizio E70-F3 a 4.5 if I could. YES, there are better TV's for a LOT more money. Again, NO technology currently defeats that of LG's OLED or Sony's OLED (LG's displays, with Sony processing), in the market. Nothing. But if you are looking for something larger than a 65" set, but 75" sets are either too much in terms of cost, or the quality is waning, again, this Vizio E70-F3 nails it in terms of price/performance ( NOTE: I picked mine up the week of Black Friday for $729). Its quality is certainly well above that price point. The TV is in a bonus room with no windows. It's a media room pure and simple. The TV comes fairly well calibrated, however, I tweaked with the THX app just a wee bit, but it didn't require much. HIGHLIGHTS: Size, overall responsiveness (connected to PS4), and price. Performance FOR the price. Nothing really in this size for the money. LOWS: White uniformity across the entire display could be better. Deep blacks could be better. Upscaling could be better (IMHO - No one beats Sony with upscaling tech), and jutter is visible as it has no interpolation tech for smoothing out playback. Basically, a lot of video will playback with a "movie feel" (frame-like vs "TV show smooth" feel). It could be brighter, however, in a completely dark room, it is more than bright enough as the contrast settings take care of that.. Take the nits brightness issue into consideration if this TV will be going into a room with a lot of natural light. NOTE: Again, I have a Sony 900e 55" in the living room. This set is heads and shoulders over the Vizio, but again, the Vizio is every bit as good as anything in that 70" range for the price – period. And herein is the rub. There simply are not that many sets in a 70" size. 65" sets are everywhere, and there is no limit to quality and price in that range. But move to 70" and the options become very limited. That's where Vizio nailed it with a great balance of image quality and pricing for this size range. BOTTOM LINE: Want a good 65" set for less than $1,000? Get this 70" Vizio and you won't be disappointed. Again, if you are an imagery snob, then price shouldn't be much of an issue as you'll either spend for OLED, or you'll save for it, or close too... But if you want to max your budget in terms of size and quality this is the set to get!

Was great for 1.5 years and then the top 2-3 backlight bars dimmed - It works fine on rare occasion but the majority of the time the screen is dimmed by at least 30-40% at the top and 2/3’s down.

This is the worst tv I have ever owned. This piece Of junk will not stay connected to the wifi and when you shut it off, it turns itself back on. You have to unplug it about once a week if not daily to reset it. It will then work decent for the rest Of the day. I thought it was the WiFi in our house, but no other device loses connectivity like this junker. It has gotten so bad lately you can watch about 30’seconds of a show before it freezes up and won’t work. Constantly loses connection if you stream TV.

Didn't work from the start. Still looking at a black lit screen. Terribe reviews for this tv from sooo many people. I figured they were crazy. They're not. Plugged it in. Installed new updates. It restart and never left the black screen which seems to be a common theme. And now I'm stuck having to repack a 70inch tv to be returned. I went out of my way to get my buddy's truck so I could have it early and now I'm stuck with having to get him to let me use his truck again to return it.

Best Buy says this tv works with HULU. What they don't tell you is it won't work with HULU Live TV. Why cut the cord if you can't cut all of it? Vizio tech support says they have no immediate plans to upgrade the the firmware to resolve this issue. False to advertise it will work if it doesn't work with all of the product. Not a Vizio issue, but a Best Buy advertising policy issue. They haven't heard the last of me.

If I could keep this television negative stars or even zero I would do it. I had this TV installed in July it ever since then I have heard constant issues every other day with it not being able to connect to the Internet. Best Buy has been at my house multiple times to “fix it “it will work good for a couple of days and it’s the same old issue. This television is a worthless sack of crap!!!! Do not waste your money

Hello Eduardo, the television will only show the resolution that the TV is receiving from the source that you are watching. You would need to be watching a source that has 2160p resolution to get a 2160p signal. This can be received from applications, game systems and 4K Blu-Ray players. If you have any questions about 4K videos or sources please contact our customer service at 877-878-4946. VIZIO
