Great choice!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking to upgrade my 43 inch 4k Vizio for a while now... Saw that this TV went on sale before the Superbowl, checked out some reviews and decided to make the purchase. I don't regret it! Set it up and it looks wonderful. 70" for $750 what a deal! I got the 65" for $800:/
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What a great TV and I'm super happy with it. Gaming is awesome with the up-scaling. I saved a lot of money on the TV on top of not wanting to buy new consoles again since my old ones have been rejuvenated :) I'm coming from a DLP 46" 1080P. 60Hz I got way back when for $1800. (probably early 2000's If you are young and haven't forked out big bucks for a TV consider yourself very fortunate for the size and resolution you can get now of days ;)

I am happy with my purchase
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price, this is an excellent 4k TV. I would say that the only thing which was a bit of a disappointment is that the Alexa commands are quite limited. You can only do basic TV controls (change input, change volume, mute, etc). You have no controls over apps or ability to search content. You cannot, for instance, launch Netflix by voice.

After a few yrs of use, 4k failed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After about 2 years, ther 4k failed on it. I thought it was just the 4k dvd player, but after trying some other things 4k products, they didnt work either when non 4k systems continued to work. Almost made me throw away the 4k player when it was the tv instead. THIS MADE ME NEVER WANT ANOTHER VIZO AGAIN

Great Picture, Poor Software
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture quality is solid, zero complaints. However, the smart TV functionality is sub-par at best. Chromecast has never worked correctly and now, after just a couple years, the smart TV functionality is completely broken so a Roku or similar device is needed for Netflix etc. The price was good, which is why I purchased the product, but Vizio is not known for their software ability and this TV exemplifies that lack of core competency.

It Sucks !!! Save your money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So on 2/8/19 will be 3 months since i bought my 70” e series Vizio. The first 5 weeks my review would have been just like everyone else’s ( this tv is great ) with the exception i bought it to cut my cable cord and was switching to hulu which this tv has the app built in, Oh wait NOT FOR HULU LIVE TV. Yea 1st strike. Ok so i can work around that. But after about 5 to 6 weeks and me discarding the box the tv starts acting up. Now mind you i no longer have cable and am only streaming which is what this tv is made for it use smart cast to open and run its app’s for streaming. Well smart cast now only works when it wants. Sometimes you can get it to come on others not. I now have a less than 50/50 chance i will be able to watch the tv when i turn it on. Maybe the tv works great if it is hooked to cable but if not you are in for a world of problems. I have had to reset the tv back to factory settings 3 times so far and it fixes nothing. I would bet that most of the reviews you are reading here are within the first couple weeks of ownership and the problems have not started yet, go on ebay and look and see how many of these tv are for sale as used or refurbished, that means customer returns. I now have a tv hanging on my wall that looks great but only if you dont care if it turns on. There is an old adage that goes “ you get what you pay for “ and so is true for this tv. Again maybe its great hooked up to cable but for streaming its useless. Sometimes it will take 20 minutes to get it to even turn on if it turns on. I am now stuck with this P.O.S and will now have to buy an Apple TV ( my choice as there are other option for a streaming device ) just so i can watch my tv that is designed to stream tv.. i could have just bought a monitor and gotten better results. Also keep this in mind, i normally do not write reviews good or bad but this tv is that bad maybe someone will see an honest review.

Not great for wall mounting
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I really wanted to love this tv. The built in features are awesome, chromecast and apps with Google and Alexa voice control built in and plenty of ports. I ultimately returned this for one very important reason, due to the low placement of screw holes for a wall mount it raises the tv if you already have a pre-installed mount from an older tv. I wasn't about to pay a handyman to rehang the wall mount so I exchanged it for a Samsung which had hole mounts at the top of the tv like most other brands.

Run Away! Hold your wallet tightly!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is constantly turning off in the middle of a TV show or sporting event. It's very difficult to get warranty service provided by Vizio. They put extra steps in the process designed to get you discouraged in hopes that you will just live with a crap_y TV. I could be in the middle of a program and the TV just shuts off. I explained the problem to Vizio service and it seems like this is a very common problem. I went online to and called three times to get this processed, but I never received a case number. While time is passing I'm losing time warranty coverage time in the process. I finally took the "on-line chat" avenue and got them to send me a confirmation email with a case number, so I would have something concrete to refer to. After a few days I received a contact for a local technician to diagnose and repair the TV, so I called the contact number provided in the email After 15 minutes of being on hold a recording announced that due to heavy call volume that they would like me to leave a call back number. After 48 hours have passed and I still haven't heard from them. My Wife wishes I would of spent the extra money and get a more reputable brand like Samsung, Sony or LG. After every passing day she looks like she is right. BHPhoto should drop Vizio from their line if they are going to sell such junk and not back up their warranties. Oy Veh! This TV is junk! It seems to have great features, but if the TV doesn't work, why did I shell out the money and waste all of this time just to get a working TV. The problem is becoming worse by the day. Vizio just S__ks! Run Away and hold your wallet close to your body and don't ever buy a Vizio product! Remember I warned you!

youtube doesnt work & support issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased it 10 days back & surprisingly Youtube app doesnt work in it. called customer care, after 40 min time waste in troubleshooting executive says there is issue with youtube & we don't know when it will be resolved. It's cheating to customers that 2018 model doesn't support apps like youtube. thinking to return it

Bought it twice, returned it twice.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted this TV to work out so bad I bought it twice. I already own 70" Vizio and was only looking to upgrade to 4K. I've had that Vizio for 6.5 years and it's been great. The first time I returned the new one was due to a flaw in the alignment of the feet. With the tv face down, the 2 screws on the left foot went in fine. The alignment on the right foot was so off not even a single screw could be put on without damaging the casing. Mounting isn't an option so back to the store it went. On to TV #2. Got it home and again, put on the left foot with no issue. Looked at the alignment for the right foot and it was sketchy. But I was able to screw in the two screws for the foot, although they were terribly angled, but I felt comfortable enough to live with it since it felt secure. I hooked up all 4 of my HDMI components, but the 4th HDMI connection that rests on the side felt loose. Sure enough, it wouldn't hold the connection and kept flicking on and off. And there were a few minutes straight were it wouldn't read it at all. Thinking I could get by with only 3 HDMI connections for reasons not worth mentioning, I decided I might be able to live with it. Then a few days later when streaming an HBO on demand show and also during a blu-ray, I noticed a flickering of light as it switched scenes in the upper left hand corner. And it wasn't just a quick adjustment as it switched between scenes, but it would flicker about 3 or 4 times after the scene switched. It was so bothering it was distracting me from the plot of the show (Killing Eve, the pilot was killer). So 1 week after returning the 1st tv, this 2nd one went back as well. I really wanted to make it work. I wanted another Vizio. But I can't imagine that when I do finally upgrade to 4K, it will be a Vizio.
