Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the picture quality, price, large screen, and easy setup of the 70" Class - LED - E-Series - 2160p - Smart - 4K UHD TV with HDR. They appreciate the great clarity, affordability, size, and user-friendly installation process. However, customers are negative about the remote control, durability, Smartcast, speakers, and limited apps. They have concerns about the remote's responsiveness, the occasional inconsistency of the Smartcast feature, the low-quality built-in speakers, and the limited number of apps and lagging issues.

3.5 years the tv dies. Before it died we had one year of turning off and on without command and sound quitting when using a Visio sound bar.

This is what they replaced my TV with

I have been buying TVs from Best buy for years, and have always been happy. Until now. This was my 6th TV from Best Buy and I had faith in my purchases. My previous Vizio TV was amazing while it lasted. Less than 2 years after purchase, however, it's screen began fading and we couldn't see it well anymore. That's why we always buy the extended warranties. The tech was fast, knowledgeable, and had our exchange processed within 15 minutes. We were told we were getting an EXACT replacement for our TV. Our delivery time was set, and I uninstalled the TV. The delivery team was great, and I was setting up before I knew it. My wife was assisting me on the wall mount and she asked why the bracket was so low on the TV. I hadn't noticed until then. Trying to hang the TV was very hard, as it now scraped my ceiling, and sat a good 6" higher than the last one. We decided to set it up and lower the wall mount later. Then the TV (attached by an ethernet cable) wouldn't connect. It kept asking for a password when there wasn't one. I tried to use a wireless connection (again, just to set it up- I'll fix it later) and it told me my password was wrong. Tried 6 times, it wouldn't let me through. Checked the password with my modem, and it was right. During this time I had received a text saying a new device (the TV) had connected to the network. Still it wouldn't let me in. I tried to skip the network connection and it hassled me about not getting to access all the features it had to offer. Finally get passed all the EULA stuff. And guess what? The TV was CONNECTED THE WHOLE TIME!!!!!! I spent 2 hours trying to set this thing up, which was supposed to be the same model!!! Oh, BTW, all the HDMI outlets are on a different side this time, so I had to rearrange EVERYTHING!!! WORST product exchange ever! I will never buy another VIZIO product again.

Once a month I've had to reset my TV back to factory settings to be able to use streaming apps. If they'd fix this problem it would be a great TV.

Just got home and set up my new Vizio 70" UHD TV. Got it mounted on the wall and all set to go... that is until the setup process started. I spent 30 minutes trying to simply access the Internet and finally called Vizio support. It turns out Vizio SmartCast was having system issues, nothing could be done and I was asked to wait 48 hours! Seriously. Nice big TV. Sure wish I could use it. Off to a very poor start.

TV turns itself off over and over

After just a few days, this TV started turning its picture off at random at least 10 times an hour. Since it goes totally black, it's good picture quality is not viewable for at least 5 seconds until it turns itself back on. My worst TV experience ever.

Waiting for 3'rd TV to be delivered under warranty

Bought this TV on pre-Black Friday deal online. Hook it up and none of the inputs work(HDMI, USB, etc...), called in for warranty and took a week and a half to receive new TV. When new TV arrived screen was cracked from one side to the other. Called Best Buy and they will not let me return TV to store to get a replacement, I have to hope the third TV sent to me will not be defective out of the box. Two suggestions: 1. Do not buy online and 2. Stay away from Vizio, spend the extra $$$ for Samsung.

    Do not buy Vizio

I bought this tv a year and a half ago. The back lighting went out on the left side of the screen. Their warranty is only good for 1 year. After doing some research I found out that this is a common problem. Vizio uses cheap parts that are designed to fail so you have to buy another product sooner.

    Doesn't work with iPhones

The HDMI ports conveniently don't leave enough room for a Roku, so you have to use its terrible Smart TV interface. Most of the TV apps I watch -- HBO, Showtime, ESPN, basically everything but Netflix Hulu and Amazon -- are only available through the embarrassing SmartStream phone app. It wasn't working on my iPhone, so I called customer support, and lo and behold -- this TV DOESN'T WORK WITH THE MOST POPULAR PHONE IN THE U.S! And if that's how things work, would you really trust your money with this tech, even if you did have an Android? Spend the extra $100 on a Sony and save yourself time and a headache. Their customer support team would agree.

Hello Thecouch, thank you for the feedback. A few things that might help you get the kind of picture quality you are looking for. First, make sure the Display is getting a hi-definition signal. This means making sure that you're source device (like a cable/satellite box) is capable of HD, and that it's connected to your Display with an HDMI cable that can deliver the HD picture. You can also change between pre-set picture modes on the display by pressing the PIC button on your remote. This will toggle between a few picture setting that look good in different situations. If your display is in a bright room try Vivid or Calibrated. If it’s in a dimmer room try Calibrated Dark. VIZIO

From right when I turned it on the first time, to get it started I had to restart it and try again. I’ve had it for 4 days and today it won’t stop loading. I can’t watch anything even after restarting it several times.
