This TV is a great value for a mid-range set. Best Buy price-matched Costco's online price and delivered for free. 4k Netflix, 4k UHD discs, Blu-Ray, and even 720p over the air television all look amazing on this big screen. I went from a 50" plasma to this 75" LED so the size increase was off the charts. With the plasma I was used to all the viewing angles being great as far as the picture, but with LED I certainly need to make sure I'm not watching too far to the side or the picture fades. But it's not a big deal.

Picture quality is great for the price. Good looking TV (thin bezel trim). User interface is dated, slow and not customizable. Cannot add apps. Remote is cheap quality, no backlight and very basic. For the price of this 75 inch, I would expect a better remote.

The picture of this TV is amazing. I don't have the same issues with the apps that others do but it does load kind of slow. I have no problem navigating the various apps there's tons of free stuff on the apps to watch. I do see what others have said when your picture is really bright and there's a white/light background like a snow scene or clear blue sky, you can see the LED bars behind the screen. It's in my basement so I keep it on calibrated dark and it's not a factor for me. There is also a calibrated mode which is almost perfect and a calibrated dark mode which is near perfect. 4 stars because app loading is slow.

Defective - Grey blotches in center of screen

    Posted .

I ordered online, the box seemed find during delivery, having what looked like the factory tape and no indications of it being an open box or previously owned. When it first powered on, I noticed some blemishes in the center of the screen. With any content, the grey blotches are noticeable. I took some pictures with a white screen to show them. They were about 2-3" large and about 8" apart, in the center of the screen. They appeared to be from de-lamination of some layers behind the front LCD. They did not appear to be dead pixels, with magnification, I could see the pixels behaving normally just as the adjacent ones. I am guessing it could be the diffuser layers behind the LCD that de-laminated in those small spots. I was worried about getting a panel with vertical banding from the FALD, as others have reported. I returned the unit for a full refund. One of the employees mentioned this model being discontinued and I would not be able to get a replacement. None others were in stock within 250 miles of me. I think he could have been mistaken. As for other features that I noticed or tested before returning: the local dimming was more aggressive and annoying than I thought it would be. On some of the Vizio loading screens where it has a rotating image, I could see the LED's behind the image swirling around. It was actually quite distracting. I did not explore what it was like when turning this feature down/off. I did not notice bad vertical banding or jail bars, as others have experienced. Maybe you can sort of see them in all white scenes, but it wasn't bad on the unit I got. Although, I did not thoroughly test the FALD options with many scenes. I was all round not impressed with the picture quality of actual (non showroom) content - with default out of the box picture settings. Reds and greens were too high, and motion settings were pretty bad. I was impressed by the granular control of the picture settings, so I expect most of the picture issues could have been corrected with calibration - which I was expecting to do, but I got a defective unit. I have recommended Vizio to all of my friends and family, with 3 sets purchased by them, though never buying one myself. It is disappointing to get a defective unit. I don't know if this defect was from manufacturing (how could it pass QA?) or shipping. If it wasn't for the grey blotches, I think I would have fallen in love with it. This isn't the first QA issues I have seen of their TV's and I have been reading about QA issues with other people on the Internet. I wont be recommending Vizio anymore.

The picture is fantastic although it will require sometime tweaking the settings. The only problem this tv has is the smart features. The menus lag too much but it’s fine if you use a 4k streaming device like I do. I have the 65 and 75. Highly recommend this to anyone that’s not planning on using its smart features SmartCast.

It was very easy to set up and mount to the wall. Because of its size, you need two people to do it safely. The picture is flawless and the remote set-up straight forward. Mine did not come with an operating manual, nor a set up guide or registration card; and the box it came in appeared to be factory sealed. I was able to download the manual (51 or so pages) off an internet site. This is one reason for the loss of the 5 star rating. The other is it seems to take about half a minute on the average, to boot up which is quite a bit longer than my two older model HDTVs (which are not 4K however). In addition, there seems to be a syncing problem on occasion with the sound in watching some movies through my cable provider. This may be a problem with my AV Receiver--not sure yet. The only other thing that is really different in watching programs with such a large screen is when there is a scene switch or jump to a commercial, and the whole screen goes absolutely black for a second or less, it kind of gets your attention, where with smaller screens it was just a meh. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase.

Picked it up when it was on sale for $1900. It's not quite an OLED but it's awfully impressive how far these hdr displays have come. My experience with my vsx-90 receiver and Xbox one X has been fantastic.

Does not stream the DD+ version of Atmos like the Sony X900F did. It does stream Dolby Vision from apps but it only puts out Dolby Digital 5.1 when set to bitstream. Had a horrendous audio sync issue when playing Xbox One X and PS4 Pro that I didn’t have on either Sony TV. The sound came through after the video which rendered the lip sync options useless as it only can add an additional delay. The audio setup is running through a Onkyo TX-NR646. I called Vizio and got someone who speaks English as a second language. They did trouble shooting with me from a script and wanted me to repeat basic things I had already done. They said there was nothing they could do. I spend almost 2k on a TV and I couldn’t even use my AVR with it- I was not happy. Then I figured out the problem. My AVR has an auto lip sync setting. I turned it off and voila! It worked and the audio is now perfectly in sync. The streaming apps are buggy and useless and the TV sometimes power cycles itself when it is confused with a signal when switching inputs. I don’t have to switch inputs because everything runs through an AVR. I’m giving this tv 3 stars because it lacks the refinement found in the Sony X900F which I returned to get a larger screen size. It was difficult to get it set up and get it working properly and I consider myself pretty tech savvy. HOWEVER, once I did get it working correctly I found the picture to be mesmerizing. As a side note the grey uniformity is an issue and I can detect the dreaded dirty screen effect but I have to be looking for it. In closing I would recommend this TV to a friend, but only in the 75 inch size. At 65, there are better and more reliable options.

Ive been looking for a while and it was between the Samsung, Sony and the Vizio. Vizio won because the value, color and gaming capabilities. The 4k with moives and the Xbox one is unbelievable. Could not be happier.

Absolutely love this TV. Amazing picture quality with deep blacks. Works great even when the sun makes the living really bright. I have a soundboard hooked up to it so I don't need to use the speakers on the side of the TV.

Dobly vision and HDR10 in a 75in screen all less than $2k is a better deal than most TV's at this size and price. Games and Netflix look great and the difference going from a 55in feels huge!

I have herd that some of the panels on this tv are not great but I think that was only the early sets. Mine is frome the second time they were in stock and WOW! what a great picture. granted it takes some tweeking but you can get it there. I started with calibrated dark and went from there. Check out rtings.com review they place this in the class of a sony x900f. Only small down side is there is some blooming effect from the back light depending on the color it is most noticable on light gray.

I had a software issue on the first one I purchased. It was slow but decided to exchange it and I am glad I did. Picture is spectacular. Tons of customizable picture settings, but it has nice settings out of the box. Full array is great too. No complaints. For the price and features, I would highly recommend. Check out rtings.com to see how it compares to the Samsungs, LG's and Sonys.

It is a great tv with high quality image and very bright colors . But , after days of using it the image start blinking but disappear at the next day . Now it is working ok but still the insecure of having the same issue in the future . I got the 5 years warranty so I don’t want to return it because I don’t like the hustle to take out the tv and take it to the store because I got a Corolla and I don’t have a truck .
