Great picture, debilitating firmware issues.

Vizio released a TV with broken firmware and Best Buy sold it. More than a year after the model's release, the features and functions that are advertised simply do not function. Almost a years worth of busted firmware releases. Every issue raised is met by Vizio silly saying 'oh there's a firmware fix just around the corner', for the last year, and almost none of the issues have been fixed. Switch inputs, black screen. Try to use any of the advertised HDMI 2.1 features. Black screen, reboot to fix if you're lucky.

Do you like looking at the Sun?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you have HDR on this TV does not allow you to turn down the brightness or enable the ambient light sensor. There is no "normal" picture mode. This means the TV is like staring at the sun. You have to turn off HDR, set the picture mode to calibrated, and then turn down the backlight or enable the Ambient light sensor. But crazy enough, the subtitles don't follow these settings and end up looking like strobe lights in your living room at night. Even now in the daylight the brightness is overwhelming. For reference, I have 7 windows in my living room. I love VIZIOs and I really wanted to love this TV. It was to replace my reliable, beautiful, 7 year old VIZIO M55-C2. Sadly i will be returning this and checking out the new VIZIO 65 inch OLED.

Great picture besides in dark scenes

My tv may be defective. I have a white line I can see down the middle of the screen while dark scenes are being displayed. Will be reaching out to see what can be done about this.

Very nice TV especially for the money!

Picture is on the washed out side but with some adjustments you can easily fix that. TV has a high end adjustments for picture that takes some noledge or studying to learn how to make this happen. The Sound has All the options and all this and much more for under $2000 for a 75" 4K TV.

It Games at 120 no problem with 4k

Vertical black lines

It's possible that I got a dud, but there are vertical black lines on the screen that don't go away. It's super annoying when watching anything with dark scenes.

Great TV when it worked; before Vizio firmware

Owned for 10 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It is painful to leave a bad review on this TV because it WAS good (minus the Xbox/PS5 issues which plagued everyone). Vizio released a firmware update to fix some bugs, including the 4k@120hz problem and simply broke HDMI, CEC, key exchange, HDR, etc. You can validate this on their official subreddit /r/VIZIO_Official. Many folks are asking for money back, and Vizio has been absent to respond or acknowledge. HDMI regularly fails to negotiate and requires it to be unplugged (if mounted to wall, that can be painful). HDR has become very over saturated.. If Vizio can fix this, and get all feature working .. this is a 5/5 ..
