Great Value for a 70" LED

I had to watch the superbowl with a green line along the whole picture good thing it was 70 inches. I replaced my samsung 52 inch lcd with this vizio. The samsung never gave me a problem for 5 years. I think vizio will get it right the tv had a great picture when the line wasnt there and the sound was very clear for a flat screen tv. i loved the smart tv and connected very fast. Now i have to haul this 70 inch tv back to best buy not to happy about that as best buy has been nothing but a headache. great price and great picture except for the line.

Pretty good T.V.

Beautiful picture

Loud, then soft, then loud again. TV is 2 months old. This problem is not yet resolved. If resolved, this is a 5 of 5 rating. Otherwise, I have to move down to a 3 rating.

Get The E-700i-B3 model instead

The Vizio E700i-B3 is awesome, no problems like our previous Vizio smart tv (E701i-A3 model). The E701i-A3 model is too problematic. We went through 8 warranty replacements of those in one year. The first three lost picture and the others lost sound. We finally decided to demand Vizio not to send us that TV anymore. So, they told us there was a newer model of the E-Series out (E700i-B3) that they could send us as a replacement of the one we had. We took the deal and are so glad we did. No problems at all with that model. The only thing we did not like about that model was that it does not come with the QWERTY keyboard remote like the older model, so we only swapped out the TV not the remote. The QWERTY keyboard remote makes typing soo much easier while searching within the apps. The picture quality is awesome! The only thing it is missing is web browser to browse the internet. The B3 model is the model to get if you are interested in the E-Series. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE THIS MODEL.

Bad Picture

I could barely tell I was watching high def. My 8 year old samsung 720p has a better picture. Blurays look ok but direct tv looks like I"m watching an old projector. I've been waiting for a 70" tv price that i can budget but I guess you get what you pay for. As much as it pains me, I will be taking this tv back.

Okay...for 6 months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This TV behaved as expected for about 5-6 months. I wasn't a fan of the sound. The picture quality was lacking to some others that I've owned. The sound quality was not great. The "smart" features had a learning curve that was somewhat tedious. Out of the box, the picture was pretty poor. Took some adjusting. Physically setting the TV up was also a giant pain in the rear. The problem was that the TV began to show signs of having issues with the backlight at about the six month mark. I have yet to talk to anyone at Vizio that has been helpful. For $1700+ after tax, I was underwhelmed and disappointed at how quickly this product failed. I am more disappointed that I have not been able to get my money back. I am even more disappointed that the company refuses to do anything besides send me a re-certified model (according to Costco, the re-certs sell for 20-30% less than brand new). To make matters worse, the time from my TV having issues to it being replaced was over a month, and the warranty on the replacement is not renewed. I have four months left where Vizio will back their recertified TV. This was also identified as a "common issue" by their customer service. It sure seems like they want your money and don't care if you're satisfied. For the money, you would be better served to look elsewhere. Plenty of TVs out there. Don't waste your money on a Vizio.

It has a great picture and all the bells and whistles we need but everything is eclipsed by the big blue line!!!

Too Many Good Brands to settle for this

Sent a tech out starting second week without. Failed in attempts to repair.....Vizio wanted to replace with recertified unit.....will probably wind up in small claims court. Wal Mart said problem was Vizios. policy forbids replacing with new tv. I paid good money for a new tv and they wanted to exchange it for recertified which retails for about half what i paid. Impossible to deal with.

Garbage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV (Not at Best Buy) and within hours of getting home and set up the screen would go black for 15-30 seconds. The sound still came through however the picture would be gone. This happened if it was showing cable or a DVD. I returned it to the store for another of the same type. After about 3 hours of the TV playing, it shut off and would not come back on. Vizio Customer Support had us reset the TV with no luck. That one went back and I decided on another brand. I will never buy another Vizio product again!

buyer beware low quality tv

The coax cable is no longer on the television. I contacted vizio and was told that the tv was past its 90 day warrenty. DO NOT BUY THIS TV
