This is an excelent tv for the money. You give up 3D functionality but save a ton of money.

this was my second vivio m series... it worked for a few hours then one by one the hdmi inputs went bad... i have a 70 inch m series that has not had any issues

This product gets the job done, but there are some things that I really dont like. One of the thins is that the picture is not edge to edge on the screen.

This Visio is awesome! Clear, no fuzzy edges! Great for all experiences (games, movies etc).

I live in Napa, Ca. and as most of you know or heard we had a pretty big earthquake here. 6.0. It took 2 out of 4 of our TV's with it. So since then Ive been TV shopping. I tried a couple others (Sharp, Vizio E Series), and ended up with this M series. I love it. Every little thing that was wrong with the E works perfect here. So it was well worth the extra $130 difference to me. It has an outstanding picture, got a great review on Cnet, and I love the qwerty keyboard on the remote. If you are searching for a set that isnt going to cost a ton, with great picture, and pretty good smart features you cant go wrong here.

Bought this tv after reading countless reviews, couldn't be happier the tv has a great picture for the price. That 240 refresh rate is nice and usually will put more of a cost on the tv. I use it for blu Rays and gaming. Definitely reccomend!!

Did the "homework". Pressed the "go" button. No regrets. The manufacturer took the time to properly package this item to limit the probability of receiving a damaged unit. One less worry. My cable is analog with a few HD channels on the upper end. The HD channels POP. The analog channels are acceptable, considering they are analog, I simply need to upgrade the cable service. The internet apps function great. There is a second or two lag to load, but it's a TV, not a laptop. The sound: It doesn't shake you out of your seat, but it's more than is needed for any living room and clear as well. My last Vizio went 8 years before leaving me, hoping for 10 from this one; although technology usually demands upgrading every 5. A "no surprises" value. So far, so good.

So far so good, this is my fifth vizio TV and they keep getting better and better. The picture quality on these tv's really is excellent. Easily on par with the sony and samsung sets. The picture on these tv's also has many adjustments you are able to make. Make sure you change settings to match your room environment. I also like the remote with the qwerty keyboard, makes it much easier to enter information. Watched a full day of football and it all looked great. Blu Ray content looks great as well. Sound could be better but most should be using a sound bar or surround sound system.

I bought the M492i last night. It took 15 minutes to get up and running. The picture quality is phenomenal!! It had a "WOW' factor, impressive. I'm by no means a "techie." I did my homework and read professional reviews #C-net, etc#, then customer reviews. I had an E series I bought a few weeks ago, returned it. In between, I bought a Samsung, also returned. I learned to go mid tier, spend a bit more than budget tier and be happy! The technology built into the M series fares well with LG, Samsung and Sony. You're getting a bang for the buck. In my opinion the sound quality is ok, picture quality excellent, set-up easy. I love this TV, it won't be returned.

I was looking to replace my 42" Panasonic plasma TV which was fried in a lightning storm. I decided I wanted a 49"-50" TV. After much internet research and reading reviews, I narrowed my choices to Panasonic, Vizio and Insignia models that were within my budget. I went to 4 different Best Buy stores and asked different sales associates for their honest feedback and opinions of my choices based on value and getting the most bang for my buck. My final decision was to purchase this Vizio model and I couldn't be happier!!! The picture is crystal clear, crisp and vivid. It is just about as great as my old Panasonic plasma was, and it looks better in my house than it did in the store, probably due to the lighting in my house. I will highly recommend this TV to whoever asks for my opinion.

I wasa little weary of having a Vizio as my main TV, I was checking out the Samsungs but the features of the Vizio kept calling me. For 240hz, the price is just incredible and so is the picture. The sound is not a factor for me as I have it hooked up to my home theater system. Would love to have HBO Go on the tv but apparently they have a contract with Samsung.

This TV is great. I moved my main TV into another room. It was a 2 year old 42" Phillips which I thought had a real good picture. When I turned on this one the picture was 10x better. i bought this one on the recommendation of my daughter and I am very pleased with my purchase. For some reason the TV's on display at Best Buy do not have a HD signal to them so you cant really compare the picture quality. In short this is a great TV, but unless you trust me and know this is the one you want buy it somewhere else so you can see how much better it is.

Just received my new Vizio 50in M Series 240htz Smart TV and I LOVE IT! Was easy to set up by myself, internet cable hooked right up. Remote is ok, has a keyboard on the back. I wateched Jack the Giant Slayer and felt as if I was IN the MOVIE! Has a 3D quality to it. Needs a SoundBar. Thats next.

This TV has one of the best pictures you can get for any price. The depth and clarity of the picture sometimes fools us into thinking we are watching in 3-D. Also, with numerous options for connection, it is versatile for your system.

Amazing clarity... Prepare to add a sound bar. I have it hooked up to the stereo receiver but for normal viewing I decided to go with a sound bar, it completed the purchase.
