Not really earing deep bass sound coming from sub. My 3 year old Vizio sub and speaker systom had way more bass and pissibly better sound quility. This system is alot better looking to the eye setup was very easy but for the money spent fir this i believe should sound alit better. Ill keep it and play around with settings see if something makes it better.

I was able to price match this sound bar system for around 499.99. It is definitely worth the price and if you can get it at this price, so wait for sales. The sound bar is bigger than I expected. We were very impressed with the bass being a smaller subwoofer compared to my other Vizio 5.1.2 system I bought about 5 years ago. It thumps hard for it's size. Setup was easy for connecting to the TV via HDMI. I love how the Subwoofer connects to the satellite speakers with just one cable and no extra power is needed for the satellite speakers like other brands. Pairing the subwoofer to the soundbar was easy as well. The clarity is good and it can get quite loud if you need it to be. We mainly have been watching Anime and Reality TV, but this sound bar works perfectly for the content we watching. Overall, this sound bar system is definitely worth every penny I paid.

Great sound, easy to set up, excellent value. The remote was a little confusing, and sometimes the tv remote won't always sync, but then starts working with it again. But, otherwise, that is just a minor issue.

    Best Vizio Soundbar

If you can get this on sale, it is an unbeatable value. I actually had the m512a-h6 (the OTHER Vizio Atmos, DTS:X bar) and it was ok. Honestly, I wasn't that impressed with it even though it was supposed to be the best Atmos soundbar for under $500. For starters that one doesn't have the upfiring speakers at the ends of the bar. They are closer to the center of the bar. The soundstage wasn't very good, the rear speakers were not very good and the bass was lacking. Also, it didn't change inputs very well. And it was updated to the latest firmware. The one thing that I did like about it was that it let you know what audio codec you were receiving. For instance, it tells you when you are getting Atmos, DTS:X, Dolby Digital etc. It actually tells you, and there are different color coded lights on the soundbar to demarcate the different codecs. That I really liked, b/c I always want to know what is coming through the bar. Well, I'm happy to say that the m-elevate pretty much solves ALL of these problems, and it looks super cool and still has the codec feature that I liked. I love that the rotating speakers light up letting you immediately know that you are getting an Atmos or DTS:X output. Sometimes people think they are getting Atmos or DTS:X through other soundbars, but they actually are not due to maybe some configuration issues. But, if those speakers pop out, rotate and light up, you know you're golden. The soundstage is substantially widened compared to the m512a-h6, the rear speakers are way better and you don't have to turn everything all the way up to hear it like the m512a-h6. I had the subwoofer maxed out on that one, and I still barely heard it. Granted I have a largeish living room and carpet, but still. It was puny. I only have the sub on this one turned up halfway, and it sits in the pocket NICE. Don't need any more than that, but it's nice to know it's there if I ever wanted more. Same goes for the rear speakers. Halfway up is perfect for me. I honestly can't explain how much of a BETTER system this is than the m512a-h6. Like night and day. This bar keeps the only good feature of the lower model which is the codec output feature and does everything else waaaaay better. I'm happy I was able to sell my other one to upgrade to this because it was worth all the trouble. I did want to get the original elevate, but honestly from a design standpoint it looks clunky. This one checks all the blocks. I'm sure that one MAY sound better since it's Vizio's flagship bar, but it just looks clunky which is why I opted for this one. Everything is oval and matches. The fabric is really nice. The design and audio quality for the sale price is pretty hard to beat. It's like Vizio worked out all the bugs with the previous two Atmos soundbars, and then dropped the best one. I've had no issues switching inputs, no lag, nothing. It's flawless. The firmware update from the thumbdrive seemed to take like 5 minutes. I thought something was wrong, but it finally finished and said "updated." So be prepared for that. It's not 1 minute like they say on the update page. Unless I just have a slow thumbdrive or something. But updating the m512a-h6 with the same thumbdrive did only take about a minute so it's probably not the thumbdrive. It was between this and the Klipsch Cinema 1200. I hear that thing is a beast IF it works. Too many bad reviews to get me to take a chance. Plus, it doesn't tell you what codec you're getting, and it doesn't output DTS. So even though I really like Klipsch, I'm settled on the m-elevate. Honestly, Vizio's best soundbar to date.

A decent SB at this price

Good SB when on sale. Sound quality is decent. Not movie theater level but for a large living room it's enough. The features are solid. Dialogue levels are far better than with just a tv alone. Not having a good app to control all the features is a negative. The remote is your only choice and the only feedback is a series of led lights that move with your changes. Kind of annoying to use. One nice feature is the ability to send the sound to all speakers at once which can help with shows with hard to hear dialogue. The dolby atmos pop out speakers are cool but other than Apple TV shows I have yet to see them deployed on any other streaming channel. But when deployed they do add depth to the sound.

Easy setup, excellent sound and good control over the level of treble, bass, height etc. The subwoofer works well, but is not over powering. The Atmos speakers that pop out are a fun addition. Great surround sound and Atmos sound. Vocals are very crisp and clear and you can control the center channel. I purchased this on sale. Amazing value for the money. My only complaint, as with all Vizio soundbars, is the line of lights that indicate when you are changing the settings. There could be an easier to read display.

I was very impressed with this new M-Series Elevate soundbar from Vizio. The sound quality for movies and listening to different types of music is amazing - very crips and clear with more bass than I need. Beautifil design, easy setup, and many sound controls . At $500 on sale with wireless subwoofer and surround speakers, it is very well priced especially given the quality of its material, the design and terrific sound.

This sound bar is excellent. I was originally in the market to get a Sonos Arc or a Bose soundbar. The Sonos and Bose are definitely the 'better' products, but took a risk to buy this soundbar at a significantly lower price. The risk was worth it. I have a very large open room with vaulted ceilings and the soundbar is able to fill the room with sound. The Atmos feature is not noticeable to me at all. I'd say if you're looking specifically for that, you can skip it. Maybe if my ceilings were lower it would be more effective. Other factors is that I was looking for a sound bar that still output good sound and vocals without waking up the whole house when others are sleeping. This does that well. For the first time in a long time we can hear vocals clearly but don't have to constantly control the volume between scenes with action, score, and dialog. The small sub on this thing is surprisingly capable. It doesn't rumble the floor or the furniture, but it's enough feel big explosions etc. The surrounds are very helpful and have not any connection issues. Be sure if you get this thing though, you update the firmware before you use it. The firmware contains a lot of fixes that other people are having. Only other con I can think of is that some times we do have to turn the volume to 96% to get the movie theater experience, but even then we dont desire to turn it any louder. So I think the power this thing outputs is perfect, but for someone who really like loud booming sounds and explosions, you may need to step it up.

    Unhappy with this system, UNTIL....

When I first hooked up the system in my bedroom last night, I was not impressed at all. Barely any Bass and only preset EQ settings like Music, Theater, etc. Today, I had time to rearrange the back speakers to about 12 inches above me and tilted towards me. Then, I found out that the Level Button on the remote gives the user access to ALL of the controls for Bass, Treble, Speaker Balance, Surround sound balances, and more. As a Semi-Pro Musician and Recording Engineer, I was determined to have a good if not great sound system, that's in my budget, to pair with my new TCL 55 inch Series 5 TV. Once I rearranged the back speakers, found the Level Button on The Remote Control and it's functionality, I completely changed my thoughts on this system. I played Qello Concerts, Axis TV concerts, and finally the test of all tests... Top Gun and Top Gun Maverick. I cranked the system to 100 and finished balancing everything while listening to and watching these shows. It did not crackle or overly push either the Bass or the Treble in any speaker unless I asked it to. It has it's volume limit, about 100 dB, which is louder than most Theaters and would get apartments dwellers Complaints from their neighbors. Finally, of course, the Bass can thump your chest and the speaker separation of sound is exactly what you would expect from your surround sound system. For the price point, you probably have one of the best systems available with The VIZIO M-Series Elevate 5.1.2 Sound Bar System. Thank You Best Buy for my TV and my Sound System

I have had the Vizio M51ax-J6 with virtual Dolby Atmos since Nov/2021. It has barely noticeable, but usually no height effect. Saw the M series Elevate on sale for $300 off with total tech so I gave it a shot, after 2 weeks of researching Atmos soundbars. I am glad I did. The Elevates performance and build quality is miles ahead of the J6. Bass is awesome, crisp and clean with no rolling thunder, unless the movie has rolling thunder. :) You do need to turn the height channel volume level up for most streaming Atmos titles but it is very present and creates a nice sound bubble. The firmware has a nice selection of options for tuning and tweaking. The peset EQ settings work great, and even better with a little teaking. I am using it with a fire tv cube and a Sony X90K 65" tv. No connection issues what so ever. I run the cube to the tv. TV in bypass, and eARC to the soundbar. I use the HDMI in on the bar for an Xbox series X. All play well together. This is the most immersive system I have ever had and I have OCD. Save yourself time and money though. DO NOT buy the best rated HDMI cables on amazon. I did that. When I switched to the Audio Quest Ocean 48 2.1 cables after using the Zezkit Maya 2.1 cables from amazon, the difference was quite dramatic. Clearer image with brighter colors, the fire cube is now the same image quality as the tv's built in google tv. The surround quality and bass got a huge boost too. $100 for 2 cables, but no regrets. The M Elevate is a keeper.

I recently purchased a sound bar and I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. The sound experience is the best I've ever had, and the woofer provides amazing bass. Additionally, the sound bar is budget-friendly, which is a huge plus. One of the standout features of this sound bar is its Dolby Atmos capabilities. The sound is immersive and truly feels like it's coming from all around you, creating a cinema-like experience in the comfort of your own home. Overall, I highly recommend this sound bar to anyone looking for a top-of-the-line audio experience without breaking the bank. The combination of excellent sound quality, a powerful woofer, and Dolby Atmos make this product a must-have for any movie or music lover.

"I am delighted to share my experience with my amazing home theater system. The design is simply gorgeous, and the LEDs that light up when a Dolby Atmos effect occurs are a game changer. Despite the affordable price, the sound quality is very good. Although I encountered some sound disconnection between the sound bar and the subwoofer initially, I was able to resolve this issue by upgrading the firmware to its latest version. This minor hiccup aside, I am extremely satisfied with my home theater and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable yet high-quality audio system."

After the wife complaining about my AV surround system taking up so much room for the past years i decided to look into sound bars. I was very skeptical about soundbars knowing AV sounds so much better so i can in to this expecting disappointment, well I was wrong. This system sounds amazing out of the box never mind after tuning it and setting it up. I see a lot of people saying atmos doesn't work, remember you need atmos capable streaming device and movie to have it. Make sure before doing anything to go to vizio website and locate support and enter the SN located on it and download the latest firmware its very easy to install just follow the directions You can have up firing speakers 24/7 just make sure on the remote to hit effect, then go to elevate make sure it is on UP and press ok. I highly recommend this setup for someone who doesn't want to break the bank.

My last Klipsch sound bar ended up breaking and I used picked this up after a warranty return, the additional satellite speakers give a good sense of immersion and the directional height control of the sound bar (speakers on the end caps can be tilt controlled) honestly give a far better cinematic experience. The Klipsch speakers did have an edge on bass and slightly better clarity, but when I purchased these on sale it was near a 250 dollar price difference and frankly I do not regret my decision in the slightlest.

This soundbar has amazing sound. I cannot get it to the Vizio app, and there is virtually no customer support. I can do all the fine tuning with the remote, so the app would be an extra benefit. It does randomly loose connection to the TV, and I need to power cycle to get it to connect properly again, this happens a couple times per month.
