Returned after a week
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I decided to try this TV because I wanted a 4K and it was on sale for $1499. I have never owned a Vizio but have read decent reviews and decided to give it a shot. I had the TV for a week and decided that it just didn't work for me. The main issue that I had with the TV was that if you viewed the screen from any angle, there would be a white glare. I have owned LED's before and have never had this issue. I honestly thought that was only a characteristic of projections TVs. Also I just thought the overall quality of the picture was just not meeting expectations. I had an LG LED and the picture on the LG was much better than the Vizio, even with the 4K's upscaling. I tried calibrating the TV using a THX app and eventually trying a DVD, but nothing worked. For the $1500 that this TV cost, I have high expectations of what the picture should look like and this TV didn't live up to what I wanted.

Bad Experience Overall
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased it online on 11/27 & was delivered yesterday 12/6/14. Tested it all day & all night. The unit keeps on shutting off. & it's not the auto timer shut off because I check that too & not the wifi connectivity. The file in usb drive is not supported mostly & if it plays there's no audio. Also, it readjusted the screen when we plug in the usb. We have another SMART TV, a Samsung, but it doesn't do all this bad thing like this Vizio does. The Vudu apps doesn't work because it has a bad invalid hardware ID which I research online is mostly something wrong with the hardware & to contact the manufacturer. Early in the morning I call Best Buy & was told to come & exchange it. I check first on the website & it said there, they had stocks. When I got there I was told they haven't got any & even there other store branch at all. Spent 2 hours & more for nothing! But if you go online the tv is available for pick up right then or delivery for 3-5 days but we have to pay more. I don't understand why we have to pay more when it's not our fault the tv was a lemon. We ask the manager he said it will be the same price but the other guy said they can't order it, no stock. After all these trouble of run around. They say they can order it for us, but when we say go ahead & wants to order it, they said they can't. Finally we just returned the d*mn thing! FYI, I talk to Mikee (Customer Rep) & Rick S. (Manager). VERY2X Bad Customer Service & Bad TV!!!! & I'm a best buy member card holder & it don't mean a thing!!!

My perfect TV.

Great UHD Tv for the Price

Don't waste your money

They have gone above and beyond to help me. I bought the Vizio 65 inch P series because the price went down and I read that Vizio did a software update that fixed the picture issues. THIS IS NOT TRUE. The picture of anything dark is horrible and full of noise. I tried every setting this TV has and nothing fixed it. The TV is going back Saturday in exchange for a Samsung 65 inch. I'm posting this as a warning to others considering a Vizio. Don't do it. Bite the bullet and spring for the Samsung or Sony.

Big rectangles of dimly lit LEDs that shadow bright objects moving across a dark background. You won't see this in the store unless you turn out all the lights, but you will most definitely see it at home! Scary random audio pops as others describe are prevalent as well. This might be returned.

Vizio 65" Smart TV

Bought TV 6 weeks ago and picture and sound went out while watching. I was told by Vizio there are no replacement parts for TV so sending me new. Should not happen on a 6 week old TV. Better yet, no replacement parts for a 6 week old TV???? Picture WAS great but be sure to buy the Best Buy Warranty on this product if you are considering buying...

Amazing TV

A must have if you have had Vizio before or if you want a really nice 4k TV but don't want to pay thousands for it. I recommend this TV.

Not worth it yet

This tv, at least mine, has banding issues when panning from left to right. It also has 'hot edges' where the corners of the screen are brighter than the middle. The motion clarity and screen uniformity are just subpar, especially being a plasma fan this won't do. I am going to exchange it for a Samsung or Sony. It is unfortunate since they hype building up for this tv and then to have this as the finished product. I wouldn't recommend this tv , learn from me and spend the extra money for a better brand. If you are a casual viewer and don't scrutinze TVs too much then this will do for you. But if you love plasma PQ then don't waste your time.

You get what you pay for

We are not big spenders, but after 10 minutes, decided we could not have this TV for the next 10 years. We went back to the XBR series and it was worth every penny. Great price, but not enough to overcome the poor coloring and terrible ghost blur during sports.

Not happy with bestbuy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok bought this tv on sale before Black Friday 1499.00 then movers coupon 10% off 1350.00 total great deal sure get TV home broken screen take back to store none left take to a different bestbuy exchange TV get new one home works fine,go on apps to vudu says invalid hardware I'd. call bestbuy geek Squad the next day about problem because I bought 5 year warranty for 299.00 say they can't help me call vizio.so I call vizio they try everything possible to fix over phone they call me a hour later and say the hardware is bad we will ship you a new tv right away great get my new tv delivered go on vudu app again says invalid hardware I'd, talked to guys delivering new tv they tell me tons of these 4k tvs have bad mother boards and they have been going crazy exchanging tvs now vizio is sending me out another tv I have no complaints about vizio they are doing there best trying to resolve issue bestbuy just scratched their head at this, also vizio will give you a 5 year warranty for 149.00 and not scratch their head.

Serious banding

The first tv best buy sent me had a center column that was brighter than the rest of the tv. On shows with lots of colors it wasn't bad, but watch a hockey game or something with a white background and it'll drive you nuts. I had best buy exchange it and the new one they sent was better but still not good. The new one came with a stand with a big chip in it. The first one I got came with a stand for a different model that didn't fit this tv. I had to exchange it in the store. Both tvs best buy sent me had other ppls delivery stickers still on there. They are just recycling returned tvs until someone keeps it. I got two bad ones but the actual model may be ok. Just don't get it here. Personally I'm going to get a Samsung and go through a different company.

broken after 9 days of using it

Four days after coming back home the audio suddenly stopped working. They have a horrible customer service. Best buy sent it to be repaired and it is expected to be back in around 8 weeks. It seems that Vizio is flooded with not working TVs. We wanted to return it but it is not accepted after 15 days. We truly used it 9 days but were 15 days abroad so we were out of limit time.

Do not buy 4k

As long as there is no motion in what your watching the picture is amazing, but as soon as there is any action you will see artifacting, ghosting, checkerboarding and an extreme halo effect around anything bright white. This exists across the board. Now if your looking for a huge gaming monitor...go for it...the 4k makes a computer desktop look unbelievable.

All l buy is Vizio ever since my first TV because it's a great brand and always has the best prices. I hope it could be just this model because looks nice sometimes but most of the timemail looks blurry. Hope this could help and hope Vizio come out stronger with the next model.

Stay Away From This TV
