This Was a great product. It works wonders for our entire house.

It seemed like a good deal, but was disappointed with the small tank, low level of mist, even when setting was ser to "high", confusing controls. I didn't even use it a complete week.

Quick and easy setup. Humidifier works like a charm!

We had it less than 6 months, followed the care instruction last and now it won’t turn on.

Worst humidifier I've ever owned. Bought both models, returned one for a refund and too late to return the second. Even with the 5 year warranty protection it's not worth the trouble trying to get the actual support for it. That was why I returned the other, waited days just for an email reply from Vornado support.

This worked decent until it died about a month after buying it.

Roo many options and functions on this..It did not get to the point.

The unit struggled to maintain production in a 12 x 12 room and when combined with the maintenance requirements, it’s over priced. I’m going back to a unit with a filter. Wouldn’t recommend this product.

Hey there, this is Jason from the Kleeberg Family Blog. I’m from the old school, where there was never a desire to add or remove moisture to a room. The humidity in a room was what it was, and if you wanted more, you moved to Florida, if you wanted less, you moved to Arizona. I’d always seen these in stores and thought, “What’s the point?”, but now we have a baby and when he got sick, the doctor recommended a humidifier for the room to help with his cough and congestion. We chose this unit because of the look and the features. In terms of look, it’s sleek and modern. A lot of humidifiers are boxy and white - something you wouldn’t want sitting on your shelf at home. I didn’t want something I’d have to put away and take out every night. The Vornado looks great - it’s a two tiered look, the right is for the water reservoir and the left is the control panel. It’s a grey color so it looks good on a shelf. The lights are soft and one small light strip will glow purple, pink, or orange based on the temperature you have it set at. I know some people have complained about the lights flashing when it’s out of water, but it didn’t effect us that much. I never woke up because of it. As far as I can see, you cannot turn the display off, so if that’s a dealbreaker for you, it might be something to look at. For me, it doesn’t bug me. It’s not as bright as some would have you believe. In terms of features, we’ve got three different temperatures of water, which I suppose is nice. It’s got cool, warm, and hot mists. It’s got a digital humidity read, so you can set the humidity percentage in the room. It also has a timer for the night. It’s advertised at up to 36 hours on one tank (we have the one gallon tank version), but I haven’t seen anywhere near that - my guess is that you can get 36 hours on cool with the lowest humidity setting. On warm (at 50% humidity), we see about 8 hours or so. On cool, we get longer. Again, not a big deal. It’s easy to refill the tank - lift, fill, and place back in. There are no filters needed, which is a huge plus. Personally, I see no need for humidifiers. I’ve gone my whole life without one, and now using one for a month, I can’t tell a difference in sleep, health, etc. Some of you probably can though, and if you’re one of those people who get a benefit out of these machines, I’d say this is a good one to get. It looks nice, seems well made, and does what it advertises. Check out the website for more pictures!

Purchased just after Christmas. So far very functional, really makes a difference in air quality. Uses a lot of water when set on warm air. Using distilled water to reduce mineralization issues.

I can start by saying, I truly loved this thing while it lasted. It has a great design, and feels like it was assembled with great care and quality. It has a modern style, while being functional, and blending in with my plants and decor nicely. However, the unit only lasted about 6 months or so. I use this to keep the humidity up in my room because I have many tropical houseplants in my room. Also, my unit tends to dry up with the radiators on in the winter. I'm sad to say despite descaling and cleaning the unit, it has broken down and will not create steam anymore. I've cleaned the heating element, cleaned all visible scale around the reservoir, heating element, silicone fittings, and any other visible deposits - to no luck. When powering on the unit, it attempts to run its fans, and it overheats, without actually creating any steam. Then it gives me error messages that do not apply to the current status of the unit, for example - to change the water, when the reservoir has a fresh and full tank just added. I'm going to contact Vornado, and I am hoping they will make this right. It truly was a fantastic humidifier while it lasted, but I CANNOT recommend this product. I regret buying it in the first place.

Bought this less than 24 hours ago despite the negative reviews on Best Buy and Amazon. Worked very well humidifying my large living room in a short time. I set the sleep timer for an hour with a half full tank and went to bed. Woke up 7 hours later to find the unit with an empty tank. I ran a few tests in the afternoon and it NEVER turns off unless unplugged. I tried different settings, even pushed the power button to where it should be off and it just doesn't quit. If there's water in it, despite being on or off, it'll still run until it's empty. Seems dangerous to me. Vornado customer service is supposed to send a new one, we'll see how that works out.
