Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned this fan for 4+ years. It's not known for being quiet, perfect white noise for sleep. Attemped to replace with a tower honeywell dual fan (to remove from countertop). The Honeywell had a oscillating feature with no remote and there was no comparison (returned). I ran them side by side. My Vornado doesnt oscillate, but it was undeniable, Vornado moves more air. I wouldnt recommend this stationary fan if you dont like a lot of noise. Also, the fan control tends to fall off. It needs a permanent Fixture for fan speed.

I had had a larger Vornado for about 7 years that burned out, so I turned to Vornado again. This model (the 460) is a lot more cheaply made than my previous one. I bought it about 10 weeks ago and noticed right away that even at the highest setting, it didn't move the air more than a foot or two in front of it. It was by no means a "whole room circulator." Today it simply stopped working. Maybe I just got a defective one, but I'm not happy at all. This will be my last Vornado.

It worked great for about a month and then just quit. I didn't purchase the protection plan from BB so I couldn't exchange it. This thing was $60!!! I'm beyond upset as this was a complete waste of money.

Decided to try it out and maybe, keep it on the condition that it did its job well. It just a worthless fan that didn't really keep my room breezy so we just returned it. Vornado fans are usually great in my experience but this one sucked.

I needed a fan strong enough to circulate air from our AC about 25 feet. This fan is advertises up to 50 feet. It doesn't even come close to the 25 feet needed. Total waste of money!! Never again!
