My husband loves sitting in the garage and welcoming neighbors to stop and sip a beverage to cool off from their morning walks. The Vornado fan helps to cool them off before they continue with their walks.

Thought the airlow would have some power, especially paying over $100 and going by the reviews, but I would say it's average. I've had oscillating fans (not towers) that produced this amount of airflow that were half the price. Even on high, it isn't "cutting it" in a bedroom on hot nights. Also, the remote is super small, smaller than a business card. Surprisingly, I haven't lost it. This was the first Vornado and first tower fan we've purchased. Not sure if it's the style or brand that I'm dissatisfied with.....

The fan pulls air in from the side, not the back. I wanted to use it to blow air into my house from an open door at night when it is cooler outside. The ~90 degree angle between the intake and output vents on the fan (rather than ~180 degrees as I expected) made it quite inferior for the purpose. Overall a very nice fan, just be aware of the design quirk if you're trying to use it the way I intended.
