This fan blows and exhausts air. But not enough to cool a room 250sqft on its own. I am using 2 additional fans to help with the cooling. The remote is horrible as it can be used on another fan i own. So when i hit power it turns both off/on. Not a good buy.

Disappointed not the usual Vornado quality

WRONG it doesn't have the air force like reg Vornado fans. I am so disappointed. It is quiet but might be because the air feels weak. You cannot see in or out with this but the cheap window twin fans from other companies appear to work just as good. In my opinion Vornado slipped on this one. I just came back here to return this fan but live and learn only two weeks to return it's been a couple days more.

Don't waste your money

We actually took it back to the store for a refund. This fan doesn't have any power to cool you off. We put it in the window and you couldn't even feel anything. It just has no power. Not a good product.

As others have noted, it doesn't close completely when off, but it doesn't let a ton of air in either. Very quiet and effective.
