They were price right for me so I got them. They are light weight but I didn't mind the cheap build feel. But the sound on these VTech phones had terrible voice quality for others and I had a feed back humming noise on calls . So much so I had to return them.

Try installing your phone as far away as possible from these types of electronic devices. It can only be used when within a few feet of the cradle-dropped calls are common-may be our provider's issue and not the phone, but it would be nice to be able to use it in several rooms of the house.

You may try installing the telephone system as far away as possible from electronic devices such as radios, cordless phones, personal computer and kitchen appliances. Nobody can hear me when I answer the phone and nobdy can hear me when I make a call. I am about to take this one in and ask for a refund.

This very limited feature cancels out any other benefits of this phone. I bought it because it was the cheapest one in Best Buy and it's cute - red - very cute. Bad idea. I wished I had spent $10 more and gotten a better model. It is seriously annoying to be limited to 1 room in my house when talking on the phone. If I go to the next room, the caller cannot hear me & thinks I have been disconnected. Really annoying. The other features seem fine, but that doesn't matter when I'm tied to the room where it's plugged in.
