(We had used them for about 5 years.) It was likely just the batteries but it turned out it a new set of phones isn't much more than two new batteries. This is a good product. The phones work well and it has a built in answering system.

This very limited feature cancels out any other benefits of this phone. I bought it because it was the cheapest one in Best Buy and it's cute - red - very cute. Bad idea. I wished I had spent $10 more and gotten a better model. It is seriously annoying to be limited to 1 room in my house when talking on the phone. If I go to the next room, the caller cannot hear me & thinks I have been disconnected. Really annoying. The other features seem fine, but that doesn't matter when I'm tied to the room where it's plugged in.

Posted .Your experience is not typical. Most users can roam around their homes, even taking the phone outside without losing signal. However, as each environment is different. Try installing the base in a different location, if possible. Your comments are appreciated.
