Posted .Each handset and base have independent ringers, which do get very loud. For the handsets, enter the MENU when the phone is idle and select the RINGER option to adjust the volume. On the base, press VOLUME UP when the phone is idle to raise the ringer volume. Thanks!

The lighting on handset screens is very dim--need to tilt them to read or be under light. The number keys need to be pressed slowly and firmly. The price was right for the features, but wish I could have spent $10 more and order the AT&T PHONE I wanted. I needed a phone immediately, thus took this one. MISTAKE.!!!! AT&T is the better phone to get.

However the sound quality is poor--tinny & distant. Having to press the talk button when you pick up the ringing phone before you can be heard by the caller is annoying.
