I tried to return it but it was past the 15 day policy period after I finally decided that it was not the reception in the area, but the phone that was the problem.

Let's be honest, who really uses their home phone anymore? However, when I did, people on the other line couldn't hear my voice. This phone costs less than replacing the batteries on my existing Panasonic ones. So far so good.
