just a few technical issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.overall i love it, it has good battery life, the night vision is amazing, i love how you can move your view with the arrows, i can see my babies WHOLE room with the way i have it positioned. but the 2 things that i don’t like is the temperature reading on my camera is wrong, it reads a lot higher than what the room really is, which means a red notification keeps popping up on my monitor screen and i lose connection a few times a day. i’m connected to wifi and everything

Reliable Camera at decent price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall I'm quite satisfied with the camera although i do have a few issues nagging at me. 1 of them is more significant than the other. 1) When watching the feed on the provided monitor the time is not displayed. This may not seem like a big deal but I feel its critical to know that the feed is continuing to advance and has not frozen. 2) When you plug in the monitor it automatically turns on. This is not necessary if you simply want to charge the monitor and not use it. 3) When watching on your mobile device the temperature is displayed in Celsius even though I've configured Fahrenheit in the settings. Aside from that everything else works great. The nightvision especially is very good.

Amazing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have tried out several other WiFi baby monitors such as Ibaby, Owlet, and Project Nursery brands. This VTech monitor surpasses them all. I love the parent unit so that when we have a sitter, we don't have to give out access to the wifi part of the unit. I also love that my husband is currently 3,000 miles away from home and the wifi access syncs up well. They only cons are that the temperature reading seems to be off and that in the wifi app, it doesn't record when motion is detected. However, those minor issues are not a deal breaker on this monitor. It's still by far the best out there. Highly recommend!!!

Frustrating from the beginning
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.With the number of great reviews I was excited to get this monitor because it gave my husband the handheld device he wanted and the wifi-enabled app I wanted. But from the beginning, I wasn't impressed with this monitor. It connected ok, but almost every 3-5 minutes the handheld device lost contact with our home wifi while the app stayed connected. So we were constantly hearing and alert that it was disconnected. What was also frustrating when it did work, was the delay in the sound. It's at least a 5-second delay which defeats the purpose of a monitor and it's used. I definitely would not recommend!

Connecting to WiFi is frustrating and doesn’t work

It wouldn’t connect to the Wi-Fi that we use for other devices. We had to create a guest WiFi in order for it to connect. Well now it’s connected and we put the baby in her crib and the monitor freezes. I read that other devices may interfere with it, but I’m 10 steps away from the door and it’s freezing to a point we can’t use it.

Please read and save your money!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.At first we thought this monitor was great, we loved the feature of being able to use the app on our phone and I could see my baby when I was even at work. Lots of bells and whistles... HOWEVER... this baby monitor is incredibly unreliable!! This thing runs on WiFi, if you ever have an issue with your internet going out or low signal this thing is useless!! (Cabin or vacation with no WiFi? It's Useless!) We have been woken up at all hours of the night by this thing beeping because the WiFi either went out or the signal strength was low. I've ever woken up to my baby crying and the monitor was just OFF- blank screen! (I heard the baby from down the hall-there was no volume coming from the monitor) It will reboot randomly, need random software updates in the middle of the night and beep at you. I seriously regret this purchase, we are about to have our second baby and I'm getting a basic monitor that doesn't need WiFi.
