From what I have read, this is a common issue with HP laptops. I got a heck of a deal on an HP touchscreen laptop ( Model # 15-db0005dx) since it's listed online for $579.99 and I got it in store for $399.99! I got the bamboo ink pen in the Windows Ink Essentials Bundle (includes 1 year of internet security, and 1 year of Microsoft Office 365 Personal for 1 person, valued at 189.97) for an extra $99.99. I was so excited to finally have a touchscreen laptop, that I didn't realize until I got home it is just that, and not a 2 in 1, like I wanted. I was even further disappointed when I was not able to get this stylus to do anything but open the apps it's supposed to, when pressing the top of it. It won't write in windows ink, or even scroll, no matter which of the 4 nibs I use. I even tried switching the pairing mode, as per the instructions, with no luck. One of the nibs looks defective, so maybe I just got a bad one. I'll be heading back to Best Buy tomorrow to see what my options are. I am really disappointed I have to make a second trip over the bridge (hate going into the next town), when the whole reason I went to best buy, instead of Walmart, is because Best Buy employees usually know what they are doing. Maybe the guy who helped me, just wasn't paying attention to the fact he sold me a stylus that won't work with my laptop, but I'm hoping I just got a bad one.
