I have read the reviews at bestbuy.com of this movie and it seems that people either love or hate this movie. I for one take into account the movie, video, and audio. The movie was good overall and I can see where the Matrix comparison comes from with Wanted's storyline. The blu-ray video is very good to watch as it shows clear crisp images. The audio which is what I like the most was exceptional during the action scenes. The movie is recorded in the DTS HD Master Audio format which I'm beginning to like more and more. I watched several movies recored in the DTS HD Master Audio format and it is a very good surround sound format especially coupled with Wanted. For instance in Wanted, at the beginning of the movie in the chasing scene the sound makes it feel as though you are in the movie. You almost feel like ducking. Audio in a movie is often overlooked due to the lack of a home theater system large or small that takes advantage of the different surround sound formats that mostly all movies are recorded in. The audio can often make a bad movie seem better or a good movie seem worse if not done right. Wanted definetly has it right for the action scenes it has. It defintelly makes the movie more enjoyable. I would suggest to anyone who loves listening to movies in surround sound to buy this movie in blu-ray. If you don't have a surround sound system I would suggest you get one and watch this movie. This is a good movie.

4 of 5 stars to this crazy action movie. Combine Morgan Freeman and Angelina Jolie and you have a powerful combination. When this movie first starts it starts slowly and seems like a dumb movie about a nerd kid. In fact, I almost turned it off. What's cool is that minute by minute this movie gets better and better. By the end, you have a powerful action movie with solid characters. At first it jumps around a bit with the kid having dreams and some visual experiences that you don't know if they're true or not. The story is about the son of a secret agent who gets recruited into the agency (The Fraternity). Thru the whole movie, you have to suspend your thinking as things border on fantasy rather than reality (e.g. kid gets shot, they put him into a stone bathtub with fluid that repairs him; or you can make a bullet go around solid objects by putting "spin" into the bullet). Anyway, they train him and set him into the field as an assassin. Oh, did I mention the truck load of rat bombs? Well, they're part of the big ending... A good movie, alot of fun though a bit "fantastic". Good action and some nice special effects. I understand this was originated from a comic book which might explain the "fantastic" actions. Worth watching this!

This was one of my favourite movies I wish they would of cane out with an part 2 that would of been awesome

Wanted's writers scrapped over 90% of the graphic novel's original storyline, which would never have worked onscreen because of its pure debauchery. What's left is the story of Wesley Gibson (James McAvoy), a cubicle drone who resents his meaningless life and who's best friend and girlfriend are sleeping together behind his back. Things change, however, when he learns that his father, who left him and his mother when he was very young, was part of a secret society of assassins, and that he was just killed by a renegade member of the group. Now Wesley, who unknowingly shares his father's extraordinary abilities with firearms, must join the society and be trained to take on the renegade with the help of the deadly Fox (Angelina Jolie, as beautiful and deadly as always) and the society's leader, Sloan (Morgan Freeman). The movie splits audiences generally between those who embrace it's blatant comtempt for the laws of physics and any sort of realism, but if you accept the fact that nothing on the screen is remotely possible, then this becomes a thrilling effects actioner, and as such it's hard to resist. It's brutally violent and ruthlessly kinetic. Director Timur Bekmambetov, who became famous for his Russian Night Watch series turns his unique skills with special effects and reality-bending to this film, his first American feature, and it's a marvel to gaze upon. If you like action and you're not a stickler for realism, I recommend you give it a shot.

Wanted is a pretty good movie. The first time I saw it I thought it was a really good movie. I was impressed with the acting and all the action scenes. When I watched it for a second time I was not quite as impressed as the first time. I thought the beginning was kind of weird and I began to notice that the movie was not as great as the first time when I watched it. Its one of those movies that is good to see for the first time, but not really one that you would want to keep or own. I have to give the movie credit though, during the action scenes when played on a home theater system it does sound really good and gets you into the movie.

"Wanted" is a great new film that I believe was a success. The special effects are very new and innovative. Even though some may say the there's nothing fresh here with "Wanted" because of the "The Matrix" and what not, I have to say that "The Matrix" films were a great set of movies for it's time period that it was released. And "Wanted" is another great movie for 2008 showcasing today's technology/special effects comparing to before. "Wanted" has a great story and it was interesting to see this film become adapted to the big screen from it's modern day limited comic series. Also, I felt that the acting in this movie was ordinary but still good enough to work well with the story, action sequences, characters, and special effects to create one coherent piece of work. Overall, "Wanted" is a creative and very well crafted film by Timur Bekmambetov. I recommend you to pick up a copy of this movie.

Action galore and sub plots that support the beginning Don't assume anything or you will get frustrated from being wrong. Of course Ms Joile adds to the viewing pleasure but that's not all. All I can say is that you should buy it. I passed it by but thought oh what the heck, I like Morgan Freeman in most of his movies and let's just say he was as mysterious in this as in all the rest of his movies. Don't leave your seat or you will miss something thank god for pause.

Were to start with this movie. When i saw wanted in theatres i had high expectations for this movie. With all the hype of angelina jolie being in this movie , well lets say she did an amazing job. The plot was very excellent the charecters were a nice change of pace, And the acting was out of sight . James Mcavoy did an outstanding job for the charecter he was playing. and angelina jolie's charecter "Fox" was very interesting , she made the whole movie very interesting for me to watch. Overall i think this was one of the best movies of the year for me. Why because it had lots of action , great charecters, and a awsome plot. so i give this movie 5 out of 5 stars .

That's was a highly entartaining, but really stupid movie. Don't look for any realism, watch it, like you would watch Commando or Rambo 3. It fun to watch if you don't try to put things together in the movie. Get a 6-pack, nachos and enjoy. I gave it 4 stars because I had fun, but I won't buy it. For action junkies only. And I don't say it's a bad thing.

What an awsome movie this is. it is such an enjoyable movie that i can watch all the time. when i saw this in theaters i told myself day one buy for me when its out on bluray. the picture on this bluray is great. though there is some slight grain through out the movie, it doesnt take away from the experiance. the sound is truly phenominal. everything is crystal clear from the dialogue to the snapping of gunshots and the roar of car engines. this movie is loud!! would recommend.

SOME PEOPLE HATE IT SOME LOVE IT, I PERSONALY LIKED IT. YES THE STORY'S FAR FECTHED BUT COME ON ITS A ACTION MOVIE. PEOPLE TAKE MOVIES TO SERIOUS THESE DAYS. WANTED HAS A-JOLIE LOOKING HOTT AS EVER THATS ENOUGH FOR ME, BUT IT ALSO HAS GREAT ACTION. THE FINALE OF THE MOVIE IS SICK A++. THE WANTED GAME WILL BE OUT IN MARCH 09 THAT LOOKS TO BE GREAT TO, SO YES THE MOVIE IS A MUST BUY DON'T LET NOBODY TELL YOU DIFERRENT.

This movie has to be my favorite of all time. The movie is jam packed with action and has an amazing plot. To a review i read on here, Actually YES 2 bullets CAN and will hit each other and merge themselves together in mid air. I watched a Myth Busters episode that was dedicated to proving this theory right or wrong and yes they proved that it is right and it can be done under the right circumstances. So not so far fetched when it comes to bullets colliding in mid air. Awesome Movie Awesome Plot but you have to pay attention otherwise you might get lost.

Loved the Danny Elfman theme song "Little Things":also NIN and Nine Inch Nails songs (WOW).Keeps you interested and guessing from start to finish.Outside being a bit unrealistic (it's a movie) it is a very good movie with First Rate Acting.For enertainment only - no lessons about life or morals to reflect on here, only pure simple action with a twist or two.Bought the regular dvd , but going back to get the Blu-Ray edition for my collection.Don't forget the popcorn and someone to cuddle with! ENJOY!

After watching the movie, I half heartedly was looking for "Mr. Anderson" to come on the screen. The believability of the movie is just not there. The acting is pretty good, but the plot line really sucks. The graphics and CG are quite well done, and the movie is well worth adding to the collection on DVD, just rent it on BD if you can.

I got into a big debate with a friend on if this movie was "blu ray worthy". I hadn't seen it and he insisted on purchasing it on Blu Ray so I did. This Blu Ray did not disappoint. In fact I think I wouldn't have not enjoyed it as much if I had it on standard dvd. The story left a few questions as to where or how this fraternity was created and how their next hits are appointed but the visual specs and action makes up for it. Great action movie to sit back and enjoy.

Full of action ,It was basically a revenge movie with allot of twists The photography was very different , kinda Matrixy with the bullets .And ya it had Angelina Jolie and Morgan Freeman,who did a great job on making the movie a hit. It was very enjoyable and watched it over and over .

This movie has it all. Action, plot and anything else you could ask for. All of the actors do a phenomenal job. Angelina Jolie (great actor and good looking), James McAvoy (even though i have not really heard of him before), and Morgan Freeman (great actor) all make this movie great. This is like the better matrix.

"Wanted" is something you will want in your movie collection. It reminds me of Matrix when it first came out it was something different. Its revolutionized the whole camera thing with the kills. Its action packed and delivers on every level.

Lets face it, the story is not the most stellar and the acting is just ok. But this movie is about the action and the special effects. And on the Blu Ray version they are incredible.

this movie was absolutely amazing. the greatest film of the year. but the plot of the movie was hard to follow and the special effects were a little ridiculous. i mean we all know 2 bullets can't collide. but if you're looking for an action packed movie, Wanted is the way to go!!
