An amazing sci-fi film with Tom Cruise, Dakota Fanning and Steven Spielberg. Great story, great acting, amazing VFX, and beautiful steelbook case.

First off, the movie is what it is. Lots of site for you to get reviews on the film itself. I wouldn't have bought this if I didn't like the film and want it to be a part of my collection. I am a huge Steelbook fan, so I was very excited to find out Paramount was releasing a bunch of catalog titles in Blu-ray Steelbooks. I bought this along with 4 others in the same trip to Best Buy on the first day of their release. I was very disappointed to realize that Paramount chose to only include the first of the two discs that make up this title's BD release in non-steelbook packaging. That means for longer titles you get no special features. No UV or digital copy, either. Very disappointing, but still didn't deter me.

This is definitely the best way to watch this movie if you have a theater home setup.

I loved this movie the first time I saw it years ago. I've been wanting the steel for it and now that that BB had it back in stock, I was glad to pick it up. Great product, great movie, worth the $

I’ve always enjoyed this movie. Was a little disappointed in the grainy image. But, 4k is likely the best this will ever look. Same extra features as the old DVD special edition.

If you’re a fan of Sci-Fi films then War Of the Worlds is just for you. This film on 4K never looked better. A great addition to your physical media!

I haven't seen the movie in a few years and decided to watch it again and really liked it. Looks good in 4k and a great looking steelbook.

This transfer to 4K looks great! The movie is low light throughout but the details are definitely sharper than the Blu-ray format. I definitely recommend!

Best Tom Cruise movie to date. Tom is excellent. His chidren... Complete Retards. His son needed to be the first sacrificed to the aliens and his daughter needed a roll of duct tape to shut her up. Just sayin.

There are some already known issues with the sound as compared to the blu ray (subdued bass extension) but the image is a good upgrade over the blu ray.

This is a great looking uhd with Dolby Vision. I dont watch this movie very often but every time I do, it's still suspenseful as it was when I first saw it.

I really enjoy this film. Tom Cruise playing a loser is just fun to watch. Maybe not the best Spielberg but still a very good Sci-Fi film. Recommended.

This 4k disc does a good job of showing range of color, dark areas are distinct and sound volume is very good.

Great movie with a nice picture l. But the sound on this one seems like it's been gone down from previous releases. Especially in the bass department.

I had only watched his one when it came out and was a big fan of the original. It is now worth a pic up updated to 4k and Dolby Atmos.
