The 4K of this film is amazing. The ATMOS track will blow your house up, meanwhile the video transfer stays mostly faithful with a washed out, but still detail-retaining image.

My recommendation is this movie is a bit graphic for children and mostly scientific about the town and why there’s Spaceship or Alien coming to Earth. It’s ok movie but not my best sci fiction story.

I loved this movie when I saw it in the theater years ago. It still holds up and in my humble opinion, one of Speilberg's best. Oh yeah---fantastic picture quality and the sound will give your subwoofer a serious workout. Crank it up and ENJOY!

This movie is actually what made me become a Tom Cruise fan. I love this film and have heard good things about the 4K transfer. I had the bluray disc but it looked very soft.

Great update on the old sci-fi classic, with very much updated special effects, and of course, the star power of Tom Cruise. Decent amount of extra features, and of course, the Steelbook just makes ot that much cooler!

One of the greatest remakes that surpased all my expectations Steven Spielberg's War of the Worlds delivers the ultimate alien catastrophe with realism and horror blended flawlessly with outstanding cast performances.

The original 1953 version gave me nightmares as a child and this came VERY close to topping it!

Tom Cruise and director Steven Spielberg, heck of a combination! Intense science fiction thriller with some family drama thrown in for good measure. Got it at a low price, too!

Honestly, I cannot understand why Best Buy does not offer a SteelBook option at a n elevated sales price for each 4K released, most especially for great films like this one.

Very underrated Spielberg movie these days. Cruise does a great job and the vfx are outstanding. Great 4k transfer and phenomenal sound on this disc

Good movie as redo from the 1950’s version and I guess if you don’t mind a new spin on classic Sufi then this is a decent place to start and don’t forget the popcorn!

War of the Worlds steelbook looks great but the 4k upgrade isnt the best, nevertheless it is a great movie and had to add to my collection

First off, the movie is what it is. Lots of site for you to get reviews on the film itself. I wouldn't have bought this if I didn't like the film and want it to be a part of my collection. I am a huge Steelbook fan, so I was very excited to find out Paramount was releasing a bunch of catalog titles in Blu-ray Steelbooks. I bought this along with 4 others in the same trip to Best Buy on the first day of their release. I was very disappointed to realize that Paramount chose to only include the first of the two discs that make up this title's BD release in non-steelbook packaging. That means for longer titles you get no special features. No UV or digital copy, either. Very disappointing, but still didn't deter me.

Glad they finally released this on 4k. The picture was very good wish the audio had a bit more in the bass

Amazing movie and awesome in 4K. Use to scare me when I was little but now it’s a classic in today’s world and highly recommend if you love alien movies

Great steelbook for a great film. The steelbook packaging is the same as the blu-ray release, but worth the upgrade for the 4K and Atmos.

One of the first films I got on 4k, and it did not disappoint. Sound quality was absolutely amazing, one of the top Sci-Fi movies for me :-)
