Let me start off by saying that I have never played any of the World of Warcraft games. Even though it starts off kind of slow, I was still able to follow the plot without any problems. This is obviously just a backstory to build up for a sequel. The special effects were excellent.

My family enjoyed watching this film. The costumes, sets and CGI were all done well. The acting left some to be desired, but it wasn't bad. Overall the film was good, but not great. Die hard WOW fans might be upset by the lack of screen time for many of the races from the game.

Never played WarCraft had only heard of it but, after watching the movie I actually might take a stab at it. The DolbyAtmos audio again lends itself to the Wonderful fight scene​s and Arial flights of the Kings Griffon. I would recommend this movie to anyone who loves Sci Fi

I bought this to try out the Atmos soundtrack. I was pleased with it's quality. Very nice visual effects. As for the movie itself- if you like Warcraft it's pretty good. If you don't like video game movies, you won't like this one either. Good A/V demo disc though.

This movie is pretty good but has a few flaws, to start with, the female orc keeps changing sizes...she starts out being about 7 feet tall maybe 7.5 but then ends up being regular human female size. Second, to many main characters are killed off, and third, the movie ends like they meant to do a sequel but have not yet. But overall a very good action movie with a great story and actors.

Like most movies made from video game source stories. I'm sure hard core warcraft purists will find fault in the story. For myself, it gave me enough back story to guide me through an excellent fantasy movie. I hope they make more sequel movies from this base storyline.

The visual appeal of this movie is stunning and incomparable to even Bluray discs. Not only does it present Ultra HD (4K), but it is also done in HDR (high Dynamic range), which means contrast like you've never seen and colors so vibrant that you wonder how it's done. And to add to the wonder is that it is a great movie: non-stop action and special effects keep you on the edge of your seat!

As a former Warcraft player, I enjoyed many of the references to the lore and that bumps it up to the 5 star rating. From the view of a movie lover, I would give it 4 stars. The action scenes were great, and the characters made me feel for their predicaments. The only knock that I have is that the story was slightly confusing. I am looking forward to any sequel that they might make.

This fantasy movie about the original series of world of warcraft game online, is a great movie and it explains the lore of the warcraft world and characters pretty well, It also has great scenary for a great fantasy setting of the game itself. and it resembles it too!

This movie actually impressed me and my wife with how good it was. The story was interesting and you didn't have to have payed WoW for decades to get it. As far as the UHD quality this is a great disk to show off your system. The Orcs look amazing and the sound is great. The way that they show the magic spells really pop off the screen with the HDR.

A well done film that many people missed at the theater. If you have never played the game, don't worry, the film stands on it's own. Very good CGI all through the film and good use of 3D if you get that version. CGI characters that you actually feel for and admire .. or dislike immensely. Watch the film, enjoy it and hope they make a sequel as this opens the door for one to be made.

I bought this sigh-unseen based on my great love for the director's previous film, Moon. I was excited to see what he woudl do with an expanded budget and epic story line. I think the bones are there, but sadly, it got lost under some less than stellar rendering (think Video Game Animatics rather than Avatar-like vistas) and some somewhat sloppy editing which made the story seem needlessly bogged down and confusing. It was also hard to care about any of the characters - either there were too many or the timing was off on creating their backstories. Though not totally a waste of time, for it is an enjoyable film if you just want Conan mixed with The Hobbit - but anything deeper, I just suggest going straight to 'Moon'!

I know they were hoping to set up a franchise, but wooden heroes and a lack of familiarity sunk its hopes. Good movie, good CG on some of the characters, but ultimately there wasn't anything great about it.

If you go into this expecting it to be another Lord of the Rings, you'll be disappointed. However, considering that it's a video game adaptation it's a good movie. No deep story, etc.; but a solid and fun fantasy movie. Also, you get to like some Orcs for once.

i tried extremely hard to get to a theater to see this movie as I saw the previews and was very impressed with the special effects (and have never played the game it's based on). Also had to see it as it's star was the same actor from VIKINGS. Alas, I never made it to a theater to see it so I grabbed this on it's release as a DVD. I'm not disappointed at all. Great story!

Not a fan of World of Warcraft the game so went into this movie sort of blind. Movie was enjoyable despite our lack of knowledge of the characters. Got it on bluz-ray on sale for less than a movie ticket and kind of glad I waited and didn't go to the theater.

I love this movie dispite the lore inconsistencies. Its a fun movie and it has the most magic looking spells of any movie ive ever seen. The spell animation is just superb. Ive been a fan of the warcraft franchise since wc2 bne. If a long time fan like me can dig it then so can others.

Great visuals, acurate world based on having played WoW for years, but Ben Foster should never be cast in movies, let alone as Medivh, so hard to get past a 4 rating. Good enough to own, just sit back and be entertained without high expectations.

The actions was pretty cool. I was mostly confused by the story. I don't think it's required to play the game to understand but maybe it can make it easier to follow along. Acting wasn't great but not horrible either. It was a good movie overall.

Have watched this several times now and am so very impressed with the clarity & color of the 4K experience. I love fantasy and sci-fi movies....this one is exceptional, especially in 4K. All of the graphics and special effects really pop on my Samsung 4K TV. Definitely recommend.
