Best buy really makes sure to hire great installers, very kind and fast!

I purchased my own install kits, they were nice enough to use them but they told me it was against their policy to use kits not purchased at Best Buy. I understand why they do this but disagree with this policy of forcing a customer to buy from you.

Bought LG washer and dryer before Thanksgiving at Bestbuy. In store purchasing experience was positive. The delivery and installation process was absolutely horrible. On the first Geek squad delivery trip, they had to go back because the dryer was damaged during transportation. But in the report, Geeks wrote delivery was not successful because my drip pan was too small. I purchase a new house and the drip pan was pre-installed by the builder, who even had the same washer and dryer in their model home. But I bought a bigger sized drip pan from home depot and waited for another week for them to come back. On the second trip, Geek squad told me the new drip pan was not in the right orientation. They wouldn't install it and just left the washer and dryer in my garage. I went back to Best buy store, the sale person tried to help me by escalating the issue to manager. The geek squad manager did call me back quickly, but she was extremely rude and aggravating. She told me I am suppose to get the drip pan fixed on floor and apply caulking around it for water sealing. At one point she also said I should know the building code requirement before making purchase. I was so angry I decided to return the items. She immediately issued a refund and showed Zero interest in keeping my business. To buy a new set of washer and dryer, I went to Lowes. They delivered the units to me in 3 days. No complain about my drip pan size or orientation, my washer/dryer work perfectly. The installation guys laughed when I told them the Geek squad drip pan story. Thanks Geek squad for making 3 trips to my home to get nothing done, such a waste of time.

Normally when the water lines are labeled on the wall, HOT and COLD, you’ll hook up the water lines appropriately. Unfortunately, not in my case. I didn’t realize it until I was trying to do a load on the delicate cycle and the washer alert kept coming up saying the water was too hot and I couldn’t figure out why because after trying it several times and having it set on cold water, it kept coming back saying water too hot. It wasn’t until my boyfriend came home and he looked behind the washer and realized the installer had the water lines installed in the wrong places. Hot was where cold should have been and vice versa.

Guys were on time very friendly, courteous and careful not to leave any damages.

Hurray for free installation! I am so glad that installation and delivery were free.
