*First, let me say that Best Buy has issued a reasonable accommodation for this less than satisfactory experience* I have learned that even though you purchase Geek Squad coverage and the Haul Away service, you do not actually get the same level of installation service requested. These types of appliances are actually delivered through a 3rd party vendor. The vendor was over 2 hours late, changed the delivery time without notice to me and called with only 10m notice (instead of the 30m required). It only got better. He could not read the sales slips in his binder, refused to take the old appliance, left his colleague to practically handle the swap himself (requiring MY help instead) and somehow they ended up denting my new washer. It took them (again, actually US) nearly an hour for a swap that could have happened in about 20m. There were other details, but the story makes ME tired. You get the point. Again, Best Buy did give a small concession for the inconvenience and the dent. I would not accept the offer of a new machine simply because the dent was small enough and honestly, I just did NOT want any more of their staff in my home. I have learned that the A/V team IS actually Geek Squad so I may enlist their service when the time comes. However, just be aware that you will have to be flexible for this service for the washers/dryers/ovens, etc.

I'm not sure if I was charged for installation or not, but I did it myself so can't really say how the geek squad installation is. The delivery guys were great though.

In September, I placed an order for a new washing machine to be picked up at the store. Once I received the confirmation of its arrival, I could not obtain a truck to pick it up so made arrangements to have it delivered. The day of the delivery, rather than delivering it, two repairmen showed up to repair a washer. After checking, they were told that the order had been canceled but they did not know why. Once I checked, the washer that had been delivered to the store had been returned for unknown reasons. I was told that it could have possibly have been damaged. No one called to discuss the situation with me. When I called to reorder, I was told it would be as late as mid November before they could have another one. So I asked for a full refund. If I cannot go to the store and purchase it, I will not be ordering from them again.

Nice delivery folks but failed to turn water on which required pulling the stacked units out to access shut off/on valves. Needed to get help for this chore.
