Good Peeps II
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Courteous, professional, and on time. Funny thing was that the Geek Squad showed up to deliver and install. Installation was free. That's always a plus.

BAD MISTAKE
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We were disappointed in the installation of the new LG washer. For one, the hoses were attached backwards - hot to cold and cold to hot. Secondly, the installer caused a leak in the faucet washer, saying it was corroded, so I had to have a plumber replace it. Thirdly, one of the installer's shoes brought in slimy black grease onto the living room carpet and blamed the spots on us. It was nearly impossible for my wife to clean up and now we have light spots on the carpet. One of the reasons I bought the pair from Best Buy was the expectation that they would do the installation, not a contractor. Last time I do that.

Worst experience ever
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worst customer service and installation. My new expensive washer and dryer are neither installed properly and got damaged during the delivery and installation! Service was totally unprofessional.

Installation caused massive damage
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Stay away!!! We ordered a washing machine and installation from best buy. The installer blocked our air conditioning drain. It caused a flood in our garage and ruined our vinyl floor there. Since then, its impossible to reach and talk to anyone to claim the damage. Its been a month, no email, or any response. When you call they say there is a number 18004336778. They will avoid you, hang up on you, wont let you speak with a manager (somehow the manager always have lunch and not available, even if you ask to stay on the line and wait for him/her to finish lunch break). I would avoid at all costs. This cost us more than $4K and no one will take accountability. No Best buy, and certainly no geek squad.

Incompetent Installers
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The technicians they sent to install our LG front loader over-torqued one of the inlet hose connections so much, it resulted in the internal hose rupturing inside the 11 month old washing machine. Water everywhere and no laundry for a week until the part to repair it could be delivered and an LG tech could fix it. No follow up by Best Buy. As Mad Dog Russo says, “poorly produced” Best Buy.

Terrible Installation Crews caused Damage
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best Buy and the installers did a terrible job. The first installation crew damaged the water lines in our house, this caused the washer not to work. We had to file an insurance claim with Best Buy to pay for the repairs. After 8 weeks, we still can't get the claim paid for. The crew also put the wrong water lines in causing certain cycles not to work like Sanitary. We had a second washer and dryer delivered; those also didn't work. The contract installation crews do not check to make sure everything is correctly installed and try to get in and out as fast as possible. We have had to since have GE Appliances out, Geek Squad Repair and the plumber, in addition, I finally had to go and buy new hose lines myself at Home Depot and install them myself to get everything working. Best Buy: the contractors you are using for Appliance installation are making you look bad. I suggest a full review of the companies you use, certainly in the Northern Virginia, DC, Maryland areas.

Did not inform me of problem
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Two men brought in new washer/dryer but failed to inform me that after they had to take down rack above, they dented the washer. They left. I did call Best Buy and was offered $50 off but I wanted new washer. Did not happen nor did I get $50 off. W/D does work.

Five visits because of one mistake
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ordered new GE Washer/Dryer and pedestals on 4/9/22 with install date of 4/14/22. Install team (#1) came late (I had a morning window) but the team moved me to the last appointment as they don't like to install pedestals. They forgot to remove the pedestal divider which was packed under the pedestal. I called GeekSquad and they sent out a team again (#2). The team tried to remove the pedestal from the washer inside the laundry room, and replace it but damaged the new pedestal and marked the three scratches with a black sharpie on the gray pedestal. They also did not secure the back of the washer to the pedestal (photo), It was difficult to know unless it was tipped forward or you separated the washer and dryer and looked. I called GeekSquad and they said they would replace the pedestal. They were a no show on scheduled date. The next team (#3) came and asked for the washer box and washer drum locks, which was taken by the first install team, as expected, in order to flip the washer over and install the new pedestal. Also the brackets that fit between the washer and pedestal were missing which were needed to connect the two pieces. Install team #4 brought a new washer and pedestal but scratched the dryer while installing the new washer. Install team was not able to take the damaged pedestal as it was not on their work order. Install team #5 came and took damaged pedestal on 5/3/22. This install took many hours to contact GeekSquad. They did send a $120 gift card for the trouble and scratches on the new appliances - the total I paid was $5,500. I had to make seven calls to GeekSquad sometimes waiting an hour for an answer and three trips to the store. They also cancelled the extended warranty I purchased (since the washer was returned) which I had to go to the store to repurchase.

Walking Washing Machine
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is for the installation of the machine only. After running the washer for the first time the washing machine walked 5 feet from where it was installed, it was violently shaking and we had to shut it down before it ripped away from the wall connections. It obviously was not leveled at the time of installation. Had we had left the house I am pretty confident the machine would have become detached and would have flooded the house. Not a good experience with this install at all.

Cancelled last minute, damaged floor, intimidating
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, install was cancelled after a confirmation call with a text message saying they would arrive next week. Open Box Appliances arrived slightly more banged up than in store. Everything got installed but they damaged my floor and scratched an appliance they needed to move. Upon exit they did not allow us to fill out the event completion form insisting that nothing should be completed other than a signature and they made modifications to it after it was signed. This experience was an extreme surprise when weeks before we had another delivery. The delivery guys were so gracious and understanding. I felt very comfortable with them in my home and would of chosen them, if possible.

Poor installation, great product

I love the machines though

one of the worst installs ever!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If I could give this a zero I would. When removing our old washer, the installers scrapped up the door molding in several places. So much so, that the white paint and wood shavings were on the floor. In between moving the old one out and bringing the new one in, I went in the dry the floor (there was quite a large puddle in there that they were clearly just going to install the new washer over) and noticed the paint. The pictures below are after I started to wipe the floor so about half of the paint is on there. When I said something, they claimed the damage was there upon arrival. NO WAY! I just painted our laundry room 2 weeks prior and how could fresh white paint WOOD shavings be on my floor?!? I told them all of this and they say had pictures of their "pre-install" walk through. Wrong, they took the pics after the damage was done. The guy just stood there and lied. I contacted Best Buy immediately. I now have a property damage claim and 4 days later just received an email saying I'll be contacted within 5 business days for follow up. Really? Another 5 days for someone to reach out? Since the installers were quick to get out of here, the washer was not installed properly. They just left install pieces on top of the washer. The manual clearly says not to overstretch the drain hose. It's beyond overstretched! Again, phone call to Best Buy and they're sending out a reinstallation team next week....We'll see. I did receive an email with a link for a survey on the install. The link for the survey is broken. Why am I not surprised?

Horrible Installation Experience
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Two workers showed up to deliver the washer and dryer, one of them happened to be bleeding (pictures attached) on my floors which I have since had cleaned. Do I need to attach my cleaning receipt? The dryer installation was half done, he didn’t change the wiring in the back as my contractor (whom was present) had advised him to do so in order for the dryer to start, thus I had to hire an electrician to come out. Please advise if you will need that receipt as well. The washer, he argued with my contractor and me on whether or not it will fit properly. To which Bestbuy ended up sending another tech out the following week named Mario (should you need to get his statement) had no issues placing the wash machine inside. Not only was he arguing with us on placement he refused to move the item from the middle of my hallway where him and his partner had just sat it down. I had not noticed the damage to my artwork which was on the floor of the hallway to be hung until the next day as in the moment my frustrations where in the fact he wouldn’t listen to reason and left my home without doing any work. I was completely outraged by the situation and called BestBuy to inform them of what had occurred. I was also advised I’d be receiving an $150 refund to which I have not. Once I noticed the damage to the artwork, I advised of the damage.

Installers could have killed me
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dryer was installed incorrectly causing a gas leak. Hired a PROFESSIONAL to fix it, he also told me the parts used to install it were old parts. And tightened too tight. When I asked Best Buy to reimburse me the $55 I paid the professional they would not do it not only did they use old parts they could have killed me because of the gas leak. Why would I have them reinstall it? Do not buy from Best Buy! They don't know what they're doing! provided a picture of the gas leak.... Also the dryer does not tumble as well as my old dryer and does not get pet hair out of clothes like the old one did.

Horrible service
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The worst and my washer is still unbalanced with a broken pan underneath! Horrible service and no one seems to care! If I could give zero stars I would. It’s hard to get a hold of anyone! I need my washer pan replaced and to make sure my washer is in good standing. Why sell other people products if you can’t/won’t fix them!! The last tech that came out did nothing and acted as if he didn’t know anything while his partner said he is going to wait in the vehicle! My next step is corporate

Not happy, my floor is wrecked!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased a pretty spendy great new washer, but am very dissatisfied with the installation. The gentlemen(3) who came out to deliver and install my new washer and haul away my old one were on time, however they did not introduce themselves or say which company they were affiliated with. The techs had some trouble sliding the new washer into place and asked if I had any glass cleaner they could use. He used some windex from my laundry shelf to spray on the floor “to help it slide easier” I was told & I left the room so they could finish without me being in the way. The installation was quick and I was not shown anything until they had it done and had moved my dryer back next to the new machine and set it on the calibration cycle required before first use according to them. The last tech in the laundry room then snapped a pic of the washer to show his boss that it was powered up and running, handed me papers to sign, and left. I was not given copies of any paperwork and just told a receipt would be emailed and they were gone before the cycle was anywhere near done so they did NOT ensure the machine was working properly as stated in the purchase and installation agreement. Upon the draining part of the cycle I heard what sounded like water hitting the floor so I went to look and sure enough there was no less than 1/2” of water across most of my laundry room floor. The cycle was stopped for cleanup. I had my fiancé come move the dryer away from the washer so I could mop up the mess and as soon as he moved it away I saw a large tear in my linoleum from underneath the newly “professionally installed” washing machine. My floor was torn up in no less than a 6” triangle strip from the crew dragging the washer across the floor improperly and then hidden between the 2 appliances so it couldn’t be seen until the dryer was moved. I am extremely displeased by this whole experience!
