Installation caused massive damage

We ordered a washing machine and installation from best buy. The installer blocked our air conditioning drain. It caused a flood in our garage and ruined our vinyl floor there. Since then, its impossible to reach and talk to anyone to claim the damage. Its been a month, no email, or any response. When you call they say there is a number 18004336778. They will avoid you, hang up on you, wont let you speak with a manager (somehow the manager always have lunch and not available, even if you ask to stay on the line and wait for him/her to finish lunch break). I would avoid at all costs. This cost us more than $4K and no one will take accountability. No Best buy, and certainly no geek squad.

One of the installers was pretty nice, the other had a bad attitude. i say yes to " Would you recommend" due to knowing not all installers have bad attitudes.

Horrible service

Horrible service and no one seems to care! If I could give zero stars I would. It’s hard to get a hold of anyone! I need my washer pan replaced and to make sure my washer is in good standing. Why sell other people products if you can’t/won’t fix them!! The last tech that came out did nothing and acted as if he didn’t know anything while his partner said he is going to wait in the vehicle! My next step is corporate

Not happy, my floor is wrecked!

The gentlemen(3) who came out to deliver and install my new washer and haul away my old one were on time, however they did not introduce themselves or say which company they were affiliated with. The techs had some trouble sliding the new washer into place and asked if I had any glass cleaner they could use. He used some windex from my laundry shelf to spray on the floor “to help it slide easier” I was told & I left the room so they could finish without me being in the way. The installation was quick and I was not shown anything until they had it done and had moved my dryer back next to the new machine and set it on the calibration cycle required before first use according to them. The last tech in the laundry room then snapped a pic of the washer to show his boss that it was powered up and running, handed me papers to sign, and left. I was not given copies of any paperwork and just told a receipt would be emailed and they were gone before the cycle was anywhere near done so they did NOT ensure the machine was working properly as stated in the purchase and installation agreement. Upon the draining part of the cycle I heard what sounded like water hitting the floor so I went to look and sure enough there was no less than 1/2” of water across most of my laundry room floor. The cycle was stopped for cleanup. I had my fiancé come move the dryer away from the washer so I could mop up the mess and as soon as he moved it away I saw a large tear in my linoleum from underneath the newly “professionally installed” washing machine. My floor was torn up in no less than a 6” triangle strip from the crew dragging the washer across the floor improperly and then hidden between the 2 appliances so it couldn’t be seen until the dryer was moved. I am extremely displeased by this whole experience!

Bad hookup service

The two young men who came today to install our new Washing Machine were sloppy and careless. When he hooked it up he said "it's all set maam" and when I went to look I couldn't believe how he left the wash hoses all twisted and hanging on top of the panel. After I asked him to correct the mess of hoses, I noticed after he left that he failed to put back the framing around the faucet housing. I mean, they had ONE job!!...isn't it what they do?

Broken Washer Valves

While istalling my washer they broke the cut off vavle for the hot and the cold pipe. Instead of reporting to the homeowners they his it from us. Not very professional or admiriable. Next time you break something report it!

Installers could have killed me

Hired a PROFESSIONAL to fix it, he also told me the parts used to install it were old parts. And tightened too tight. When I asked Best Buy to reimburse me the $55 I paid the professional they would not do it not only did they use old parts they could have killed me because of the gas leak. Why would I have them reinstall it? Do not buy from Best Buy! They don't know what they're doing! provided a picture of the gas leak.... Also the dryer does not tumble as well as my old dryer and does not get pet hair out of clothes like the old one did.

Worst installation experience ever!!

I scheduled it for between 12pm-6pm then was contacted the night at 7:30pm the night before by an automated line saying my washer was scheduled to be delivered between 7:30am and 11:30am. I called and asked what happened and was told it was force scheduled at that time due to routing issues. I asked her to note put a note to the delivery drivers to come as late as possible because I had to remove the old washer (they charge $25 just to move it out of the way). She said she did but they showed up at 7:20am anyways to deliver the washer. Then they not only broke tiles by shoving the washer into place but they ruined my GCFI outlet that the washer plugs into which also connects to the outlets that run my internet and cameras. And when I told the guy installing it that I didn’t want it because he ruined the outlet (I didn’t know at that time he also ruined the tiles or that the outlet was affecting the cameras and internet) he refused to take it back. He told me he already installed it I needed to call bestbuy and have them come get it! IT NEVER WORKED BECAUSE HE RUINED THE OUTLET!!! And then contacting BESTBUY has been a JOKE! You have to call 800 numbers and they keep telling me to contact another number one person said the installation people should have took the washer with them. But that would have meant I would have seen the floor sooner!! DONT HAVE THEM DELIVER OR INSTALL YOUR APPLIANCE!!

WASHER REPLACEMENT THAT WENT BAD

It Took Geek Squad two visits and 45 days to come to the conclusion that the washer was not repairable and offer a replacement. The Geek Squad replacement washer , delivered on Feburuary 25, 20221, was not the same as the washer that went bad in December 2020. I was allowed to keep the washer, but I had to go to the store to get the proper replacment. I was all excited to get the new washer that I was so used to using the past three years. I waited until March 31, 2021. The washer was delivered with the loaner taken out to my yard. The installer then told me to come down to my basement to show me the fittings were damaged. Then he asked me " what do you want me to do now" with the the plastic fittings were damaged. I thought he was kidding. He was going to leave me with a broken washer. I asked him to bring the loaner back. He said I was making him do double work. Is BEST BUY serious. The third party delivery people for this delivery were a joke. Had I not insisted that they take the "newly delivered washer back" and bring back the loaner. I would be without a clothes washer. I now need to wait until May 4th for a clothes washer. I buy everything at Best Buy. Still love the service at the store and the geek squad rep that came to fix the washer in January and Feburary. Than you Paul and Kelvin.

Terrible installation experience

The installation experience was a nightmare. At first, they installed the washer and dryer and left without verifying if it was actually working. When I turned on the washer later, the pipes behind the washer were leaking consistently. So I asked them to come back. They came back in about 25 mins and they realized they the hot water pipe and cold water pipe were misplaced in the wrong order. So hot water went to my new washer’s cold water hole and cold water went to the hot water hole. After they switched the hot and cold water pipe, they said now it should be good. I asked them to gave me 5 mins for the washer to start and I could verify if it was working or not. But they ignored me and left! Now my pipes was still leaking water although not as much as it previously did. I still had to call best buy to ask for reinstallation. And Best Buy said the earliest time for someone to come is 5 days later. I just moved into a new house and ordered $3000 washer and dryer. But now, it is leaking and I can not wash anything until 5 days later. I am very disappointed and frustrated!!
