Discussed installation time with customer support. Was promised the time requested would be ok. On the day of the install, I got a call from the installers that they were at my house 2 hours BEFORE the agreed upon time. I was not home but was watching my grandchildren. Got no notification any time before that of when they would come. I told the installer that it would be at least 20 minutes before I could get there. They angrily told me that if I didn’t get there quickly that they would leave. Spoke with the dispatcher and Best Buy to have them wait, but was told that the original, agreed on time wasn’t valid, that Best Buy doesn’t do that. This was a complete mess up by Best Buy scheduling, and I got upset. The dispatcher felt that I was too aggressive and told the installers to leave because I was hostile. Apparently, you aren’t supposed to get upset when you are told one thing by the schedulers and something completely different is what happens. My wife and I wound up cancelling the install and installed it ourselves. We had bought both a washer and dryer, and the dryer install was pleasant. The washer install had to wait for some plumbing to be done. We had the plumbing completed and scheduled the washer installation over the phone. What I described above is the result of a Best Buy service center representative not knowing anything about scheduling windows.

Technicians are good keeping safe installation methods

The installers were nice. One did not speak English and had mud on his shoes. The other spoke English barely. They installed the connections appropriately but made a mess which I cleaned up. It was difficult to communicate with them because of not being able to speak Spanish.
