I’m so disappointed with Best Buy...we ordered a washer and dryer plus install (washer hook up and gas to liquid propane conversion for a propane dryer) in September for an October 26th delivery. After taking off work that day, Best Buy called and informed us that there was a glitch in their system and the delivery would not happen that day. (1st day of work lost) The 2nd delivery was then scheduled for November 2nd between 7am-1pm. At 7:10am, the day of, one of Best Buy’s outside contractors who handles the gas to liquid propane conversion stating the part was not in stock and delivery and installation would not be able to happen that day either. How this was not found out sooner is beyond me! (2nd day of work missed) I then called Best Buy to try to reschedule and was told the delivery of the washer and dryer could be made on 11/11, (which would include missing yet another day of work) but the EARLIEST day for the installation was 11/30. (4th total day of work missed, that is if it actually happens) How is that an acceptable answer for a billion dollar company? Also, what is the point of having a washer and dryer delivered if we cannot use them until they are installed? My family and I have been avid Best Buy fans for years but these past events are ridiculous. I truly hope Best Buy makes things right by finding an earlier installation date and providing compensation for missing so many days of work! Order #1120282137478

For some reason they unhooked my drier from the outside vent! I caught the problem and remedied it myself...

They set up both units on the pedestals and hooked up the washer.

Poor customer service from installers. They walked into my garage and decided they couldn’t install my washer and dropped off the new washer in the middle of my garage and told me to hire a plumber as they walked out. They were in my garage for a total of 30 seconds. They said the pipes were corroded? They weren’t according to my neighbor who helped me install the washer on my own. Took us 5 minutes to do it ourselves. The representative I spoke to at Best Buy was quick to refund my installation and takeaway of the old washer and seemed equally as confused as to why they wouldn’t install the new one. I spoke to other people and apparently this happens often. They were likely just in a hurry to finish all their deliveries for the day. Be weary of the at home installers and be prepared to have a backup plan if you’re not able to instal yourself.
