Washer and dryer installation. Actually delivered missing an extremely important part.

The first delivery/installation guy told me that my shut off valve does not work and I have to get a plumber to fix it first before they can install my washer. I have to pay for my condo maintenance guy to shut off water for plumber. Two plumbers came and they both said there is nothing wrong with my shut off valve. I have to schedule the delivery for the second time. This time they install it with no problem with the shut off valve.

I waited all day for a 12-4 install for washer/dryer. Someone called notifying me that they’d probably be late and arrive around 5. I didn’t mind the tardiness since they called to let me know. Finally, the goods arrived at around 530, but they were unable to install them because the stacking kit was missing a part! This was Saturday, and the installer said they’d most likely be able to return the next day. However, the rep I talked to from Geek Squad was super unhelpful and really didn’t have any resolutions. The next day they called and said the soonest someone could return was Wednesday. I wound up canceling the order because of the horrible customer service. There was absolutely no willingness to improve the situation by having a quick turnaround time to return or compensation.

Our kitchen is under construction and the dishwasher will not be installed until construction is complete.

The first machine they delivered was set up and by the time they left was making grinding noises they never checked out. Weight of the second week for the next one to be delivered and the delivery guys didn't want to stick around to make sure that one work properly. Finally complained enough to get a Geek Squad guy out and he actually did the proper job. The normal delivery guys just want to drop it off and get out as fast as possible

Best Buy used Harry’s guys; a third party for delivery and installation. First of all, they showed up without any tools for the job and had to use our tools. Second, they damaged the dryer while moving into the home. Third, they installed the unit without one leg and never mentioned the issue which took 10 days to resolve. Fourth, they used our old hoses, power cable, and exaust for dryer and were tried to leave without living the new connections we paid. Finally, left the foam and cardboard pieces in the front lawn that with the wind it went to other neighbors homes and we had to pick it up after we received a complain. We will not buy anything from Best Buy that we cannot bring ourselves or it will not be delivered or installed by their own geek squad. It was not worth our time trying to solve the issue, waiting them to fix the issue and exchanging the defective unit. Unfortunately, the third party company Harry’s does not uphold the same standards and values we are used to received from Best Buy employees. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for appliances were their own crew delivers and install the product. It will save you a lot headaches and frustration.

I did the install myself simple the delivery team did not.

it was in the apartments contract that only their people can install appliances however, the delivery guys were very friendly and on time.

They came in time and were careful installing my new washing machine. But the didn't installed my existing vibration pads properly.

The installation team was quick and friendly. Unfortunately, they didn't call first as requested. The water hoses were connected incorrectly causing my first load of clothing to shrink (hot water on gentle clothes). Called the store, but they couldn't give back to fix it for several days! My brother came and fixed the hoses that evening. I definitely would recommend the store installation, but they should be a bit more careful.

The control panel had to be replaced on the washer

Round 1: We did not have everything we needed. This occurred because we asked repeatedly when we made the purchase whether we needed anything else. We were only told that we needed a stacking kit which we purchased. The installers were helpful and informed us of what we needed. Round 2: The installers arrived and were very curt/rude. They did not even make eye contact when I was speaking to them. I literally only saw the back of one of the installers. When I spoke to them, I was interrupted with umm hmms before I could even finish my sentences. The phone message they left was also unprofessional. They left without letting me know and left without installing the dryer vent. They also did not push the stackable washer/dryer up against the wall and I do not have the strength to do it. So now I have to have someone come and do that. I also completed the installation of the dryer myself. I also found a dent in the dryer that may have been cause by them. This was not a good experience on so many levels at all.

Took a few trips but when we finally got ahold of a very nice and great Bestbuy / geek squad member helped us out and made it so much better

The delivery people couldn’t have been worse. I should have been these people are third party and don’t work for Best Buy. They ruined my outlet and acted like it was my fault. They actually ruined 2 outlets including a GFI receptacle. I had to have an electrician come out to fix costing over $250. If Best Buy can’t hire their own delivery people then I won’t purchase anything again in the future. Also had to go to the store twice to talk to management since you can no longer call the store directly. What kind of a business model is this?

Did not level machine. Did not even turn on water to check for leaks. Complained about old machine being partially dismantled (claimed they were only supposed to take one item away). Were unwilling to separate the drawer from the old machine (I had already removed the screws). I leveled it myself because we had no washer for a week.

It is so difficult to schedule and arrange an installation because all calls go to a call center where no one answers or is able to do any resolution. I would much rather go to a company who has their own installers instead of farming it out.

Ended up getting water everywhere and didn’t take time to place in area securely.

The service people were pleasant and efficient, but the machine was not leveled completely, and it does shake during use. Also, the installation instructions indicated that caps were to be inserted into four holes in the rear of the machine, but they were not installed, nor were they left so that I could install them myself.

The team showed on time to install washer, dryer and microwave oven. Where to start...they installed the microwave oven and left a huge mess. Told the person at my house, sorry about the mess but I had to drill new holes. They did not bother to offer to clean it up. They also did not leave the book for the convection microwave. Then they installed my washer and dryer. They broke a piece on the dryer...I cannot find the smart control adapters and they NEVER TESTED anything. When I called about the washing machine not working, they said they tested it. Come to find out, they could not test it because they NEVER turned on the water shut off valves located across from the units in the wall. Unbelievable! Best Buy was absolutely no help...never apologized and never called me back! They did blame everything on the 3rd party installers...quick to sell but not to help. Worst experience I have ever had. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM.
