The first install guys were not qualified to install the washer. They had no tools and had to borrow mine. The machine turned out to be a bad unit and had to replace it. Second install was better but still needed my input to install it correctly. Now everything is OK.

I don’t recommend this option to anyone buying appliances from Best Buy. Especially if you don’t regularly remove calcium from your water valves. As soon as they saw this they left the machine were they brought it and said they couldn’t go any further because the valves were corroded. So I called a local Plummer to see if I had anything to worry about and he cleaned them off and laughed. Their was nothing wrong with the valves and I should complain to Best Buy corporate but as I have seen in the past; corporate well not take responsibility for members/policies of their company.

The delivery agent was pleasant upon arrival. We walked to all installation sites and he informed me that he would not be installing the dryer because I had not purchased a dryer vent. I told him I had purchased one and he said I did not because it would be on his paperwork. I again said I had paid for the vent and I would print my receipt for his review. When I can back from printing my receipt he had loaded the appliances back on the truck and said "no appliances for you today because you have a smart mouth". A family member was present and after a lengthy conversation she was able to get him to install the appliances. I stayed away for fear during the installation! Worse experience of over 50 years.

The delivery/installation crew complained repeatedly about how heave both the units that they had to remove, and the ones they were bringing in were too heavy, and were concerned how they were going to take the old units out. We assured them that we installed the old units without needing to alter the doorway, and my husband showed them with a measuring tape that they would fit, they still argued with us. This is the second time we have purchased appliances from BestBuy, both times the delivery/installation was, to say, less than mediocre. I would have to seriously consider purchasing any other large appliances from BestBuy, which is unfortunate since we like their quality and in-store sales team.

The people came to my house and dropped off the new washer and drier although I declined the drier install(105.00 to attach a gas line) they did not install the washer as work order said they didn't even remove them from the box. I was told it was a misunderstanding with the delivery order

What installation? They put it in my basement in the spot it was suppose to go in. They took out the shipping bolts and gave my everything else to do. Didn't even turn it on to see if it worked. As he was walking out my door he tells me that I shouldn't do a full cycle first time that I should do a check cycle. Needless to say it was useless. I called support and they said it may have been a plumbing issue and I said there are no plumbing issues and they would schedule again to have someone come out to hook it up. Nope. I can read. Not taking another day off work and not get paid to have them most likely reschedule for 4 days out and not shoe up at their correct time.

Told us our water pipes were leaking and left the first time. The issue was the hoses were slightly lose. The next time they came back, they did the install, but put a Y adapter on incorrectly for the cold water input. I had to fix this myself.

Ask the Installers to do the clean installation with proper way

No washer installation was performed, only dryer was installed. The individual dropping off the washer said he could not install the washer due to the water drain not being popped out. So, I popped the drain open within 5 minutes and asked if he could continue with the installation, and he denied the request and only proceeded to install the dryer. Therefore, I didn't get the service I paid for.

Literally 5 minutes after the third party installers for Best Buy installed our LG steam dryer I called to ask them if they hooked up the dryer to the water supply. Their response was “didn’t know it was a steam dryer and it’s not on our work order” even though the dryer says on the front STEAM DRYER and they left the “Y” water connection part for the steam dryer on top of the dryer. Not professional at all, just two “twenty nothing” kids delivering in a Budget rental van for Best Buy and didn’t seem to care about customer service, rectifying the situation or doing their job correctly!

When the washer was delivered the technician told me that tha water valves were corroded and needed to be replaced. That proved to be wrong and for extended wait and expenses for plumbers Best Buy compensated me. Thank you.

They installed the doors of the washer and dryer in the opposite direction. They saw that our hallway is small so because the doors open in different directions, we have a lot of difficulty with moving items from the washing machine to the dryer. Then, before I could view how the machines opened, the installation technicians turned on the machines and left. I couldn't open the machines until after the tests finished because the washer was full of water. In addition to the unsatisfactory installation, the technicians spoke Spanish under their breath to each other in my and my family's presence. It was disrespectful.

First installer was not good. Washer leaked all over. Second installer came with a new washer but showed us what the first guy did wrong. Too bad we had to get water all over the place for them to get it right

This washer had to be returned as it leaked water during the test run after installation. After doing additional research this seems to be a flaw in this particular washer.

Nice delivery man but the worst service I have ever received. I finally bought the washing machine directly from the manufacturer. Great service from the manufacturer but close to a choke with BEST BUY

The question asks just about THE INSTALLATION OF MY WASHING MACHINE AS COMPLETED by A PAID INSTALLATION team from BESR BUY’s GEEK SQUAD. Upon arriving to my house with the washing machine. The two paid instalers immediately informed me that due to a?? Number of issues they would NOT be performing the installation. The parts had been purchased and paid for, however because the crew’s nitpicking they left without performing the install!! Epic fail

The installer did connect the washer as expected. He provided no information about what was done. After he left, I found that he had left the washer in the middle of a cycle with water inside (a significant amount). While I assume he did this to test the water connections, he should have told me the washer was in the middle of a cycle, or had it running to finish the cycle.I had 3 appliances installed and the installer did a poor job on everything. The washer was the best of the 3, but overall, he was just very poor. I know Best Buy uses contractors for appliance delivery and installation. When I talked to the store management, they assured me that this was not Best Buy policy or indicative of the intended experience.

Didn't switch the dryer door like I asked overall good

I am giving a 1 star to the first attempt to install for 2 reasons: 1) They said washer will not fit thru basement door and I would have to take the door down and the side mouldings to fit 2) They made me buy an extension for the water drain hook up. Long story short, when the 2nd attept and final hook up took place Lewis and Jose were excellent and I would give them more than 5 stars. I did not have to have the door mouldings removed but also did not need the additional hook up. What a waste if time and money. The first attempters should be retrained on their installation skills as well as customer service.
