Washer installation set needed to install washer properly.

My delivery was very quick, quiet, and very professional!

I recently bought a washer and with it came the 2 installation guys. I have never seen more rude guys than them. Our old washers drain pump had given out due to which we couldn’t drain it completely. But we tried to drain it as much as I could with a mug and a bucket. When I apologized to the guys for not draining it completely (as it was part of the pre-installation plan), one of the guys said “you are lucky it’s us, if it was anyone else, they would just take a picture, report it to best buy and won’t proceed”. Uhm ok, rude much???!!!! Then they hauled the washer and told me “ma’am, you have a few minutes to clean so please do it”. Uhm thank you again for the rude tone and demanding things out of a person who is paying you. After this, they installed the washer and I can hear them talking amongst themselves - “was the water turned off? Hmmm ok. Ya we aren’t supposed to do anything else other than the instructions.” Here I understand it was my mistake since I didn’t turn the water off but honestly I had just moved into the house and didn’t know which was the water line, might sound dumb but again I am not a professional. So the guys themselves turned the water off and then called me to check the installation of the washer. In return to show me that I had not turned off the water, the guy asked me to turn on the water this time. Wow condescending much?!!!! First of all, we are not washer professionals, isn’t it better that the professionals handle everything instead of us ruining the whole thing before installing the new washer. On top of that, not that everything is free. We are paying for these services. The guys sounded like they were being forced to work and it was not even free. I don’t appreciate people coming to my house and yelling at me for the work that I paid for. I don’t think I will be using Best Buy services again. Horrible experience. Please teach customer service to your workers.

The team was courteous, punctual and thorough. Explained everything well.

They were in a hurry to get out, and the description of operation was cursory. The manual was of little help. I rate the manual "poor." He DID clean the floor under the washer.

Installation guys were great. Quick and neat, helped move the washer into a tight space.

I have believed for many years that Maytag provided the best washers and dryers. Prior to being acquired by Whirlpool that may have been the case. Our original Maytag of 30 years ago was a tank, absolutely indestructible. However, we moved and the new house had existing, more modern appliances so we gave our Maytags away to someone in need. We moved again the appliances in this home gave out. Hence, we purchased new Maytag set and I bought the 5 year extended warranty. Thankfully. Within the first few months we had the repairman out for the Washer. Then again. The second time they had to replace a major part which took some time. Yet the problem persists. We get a persistent Low Flow error. And no it is not because we put in too much detergent as we barely use any detergent. It is not because the water supply is troubled, we have checked that a million times. After the last repair we have found that by unplugging the washer and plugging in again like resetting the computer does the trick. However, this happens every week, several times. It has become such a problem that I have decided to walk away from my 5 year warranty plan and junk the Maytag's and buy LG.

If I can give less than zero stars, I would washing machine was not in sold properly. The first time leaked water all over my floors person installing was very unprofessional and inexperienced would never order from here again.

Professional installation by two latino guys on a hot as hell day

Best Buy/Pacific Kitchens seriously needs to consider having their own Geek Squad team handle their washer/dryer installations. The 3rd party 'team' that came to my house to install my washer/dryer was in no way professional. I was not home for the 'installation' because they showed up a full hour before the appointment time. First, they 'talked' my husband into installing the units side-by-side, when we had specifically bought a stacking kit. After a 10 minute argument, we finally convinced them to stack them, they left them on the opposite wall that we wanted them on, telling my husband that they couldn't complete the install because the drain wouldn't reach the standpipe. I was on the phone at this time, and told them I was 10min away and would pick up a drain extension kit. They then said that they couldn't install anything bought from a 3rd party. Well, when I got home, they were long gone and I found that they had in fact installed a 5ft gas line that I BOUGHT FROM A 3rd PARTY (even though they repeatedly told us that they could NOT install any 3rd party items)... Then we discovered that they TOOK the 4ft gas line (bought from Best Buy) with them. Additionally, lo and behold! The drain for the washer was IN THE STANDPIPE. How was it that it didn't reach again? My husband and I ended up finishing the install ourselves. We put the washer/dryer on cardboard, moved into position on the wall we originally intended them to be on. Then in the process of hooking up the water lines, we discovered that the steam kit for the dryer was hooked up backwards, to the hot tap rather than the cold, which could have caused all kinds of problems. They didn’t use the steam kit we bought from Best Buy, and the dryer doesn’t come with one, so we have no idea where the kit they installed came from. When we called the dispatcher, she was unable to get a hold of the team. She then called me back a half hour later and said they were ‘done for the day’. We were their last appointment, they showed up an hour early and left before the job was complete, and basically refused to come back. We then discovered that both the washer and dryer doors were scratched and there is a huge dent in my brand new washer. When I was unable to get anywhere with their customer service dept, I went back to the store to speak with the salesman. He and his co-worker told me that they’ve been aware of this problem with the sub-contracted teams for approx. 5 years now. Corporate is aware of it as well. This was an extremely frustrating experience all around. Although, I must say, now that I am in touch with the right people, Best Buy has done their best to make a bad situation better. We’ve got new doors coming and they’ve given us a refund for the stolen gas line. Sent us a gift card for our troubles as well. I did find out during all of this that only certain stores use 3rd party sub-contracted install teams. So if you’re looking to get appliances delivered and installed, make sure you go to a store that utilizes their own people who are trained to do the job correctly.

Bought washer because I was promised delivery on October 20th, two days after purchase. Was contacted that morning stating washer would be there in 15 minutes. Waited, no delivery. Called and was told washer could not be delivered through streets on hill being too narrow for truck. I told drivers I do not live up in the hills, nor are the streets narrow. You have delivered many appliances to this address before. I live 4 blocks off the Ave. 60 exit from the 110 Fwy. Drivers refused to come around the hill to deliver, if that was their concern, which frankly, should not have been. I spoke to your customer service staff and they said the same thing and refused to direct the drivers to make the delivery. I spent my day at the laundromat as I was leaving for a weeklong trip the next day. I received delivery the following Friday, October 27th. The drivers asked why didn't I take delivery the previous week. I explained to them and they said the excuse by the other drivers was ridiculous and they were reporting it to their supervisors. Needless to say I was very disappointed and upset over not getting the delivery on the date promised. The main reason for purchasing from you was the two day promise to deliver. The drivers who did deliver the washer finally were very professional and thorough.
