A really underrated comic book superhero movie. Has a darker tone for fans of that. Action is good and the story is pretty in-depth. The Director's cut is able to tell more and give you a better picture of the whole story. A few changes made to the story but the movie is about as faithful to the original comic as any other movie out there.

Amazing film, BUT- this version does NOT come with the digital copy it states as including ON THE COVER, and WB won't answer emails about it.

One of the better DC Comics movies in my opinion. I like the character arcs and side stories that are touched on. I really am a fan of the 1940s and the flashback scenes. Nite Owl is one of the main characters, and Patrick Wilson is a great actor to portray him. This film is gritty and dark and has an "89 Batman" feel to it.

Warner Bros is no longer including digital redemption codes with this title because they’re “expired”, even though the packaging states that a digital copy of the Ultimate Cut is included. There is no mention of expiration on the packaging. Digital is the only way to watch the UC without 4k. Warners “customer service” did not care about this fraudulent claim on the packaging and will not make the title eligible for disc to Digital on VUDU.

The Ultimate Cut of Watchmen feels like you're seeing the comic on the big-screen with some improvements. Despite being an upscale from a 2K master, it's still very sharp, and the HDR is a noted improvement on The Ultimate Cut's DVD and Blu-ray versions.

The first time I had seen this movie was when it first came out, but when I saw it for a conveniently low price, I decided to give it a second chance. There is a lot of good about this movie, it's just runs a bit too long and is way too dark. When I say dark, I don't mean the tone, I know that is part of it, but I mean the lighting and cinematography.

Watchmen is the polar opposite of pieces that Marvel Comics has done recently. This is a group of washed up individuals that have extraordinary abilities, but have seen too much of life. There is a tremendous dark current under the story; the conclusion is surprising and refreshing. The effects are impressive for this offbeat film.

This movie is based on a famous graphic novel from the 80s I think. It is well directed and produced and follows the graphic novel very closely. It is very entertaining and makes you think which you wouldn't expect to get out of a movie of this type. The description claims this version comes with a digital copy but it does not.

I bought the Watchmen director's cut knowing a little about it, but having never seen it. It was good, there's no visible difference in the scenes that were added to the director's cut edition (not like a deleted scene from a blu-ray without music or special effects). I like the quality and art on the steelbook too.

Look. You either like this movie or you don't. The effects are quite good and the story itself better. The movie is more cerebral than most in this genre. The acting is above average too. It's not your run of the mill comic-based sci fi fare. It can drag a bit and seems overlong, but that doesn't bother me. Watch Wacthmen.

I know a lot of people were not happy with this take on the classic graphic novel, but I've always enjoyed it. Video quality for the UHD is basically on par with what we saw on the blu-ray release, but the audio still shines as bright as ever. A great addition to any comic book movie fan.

The package arrived in pristine condition. And it arrived timely. The price was very acceptable for what it is, and I enjoyed the movie greatly in itself. No complaints whatsoever. If you liked the HBO series, you definitely need to see this version.

Zack Snyder steps up his game after 300. Watchmen is a dark character-driven noir that recreates the source material of the Graphic Novel excellently. It’s not for everyone, but I don’t care, I’ll always recommend it!

Just save your money and buy it on Blu Ray. Sure the 4k looks nice, but the way this movie was filmed (choice of filters) it really doesn't do justice watching it on a 4k player with HDR. There's almost no HDR effect and the artistic design doesn't allow for any of the 4k benefits. Other then that, it's an amazing movie.

This adaptation of the Watchmen comic book series is both good and extremely graphic (frontal male nudity of Doctor Manhattan and many bloody scenes). Describes a "what if" environment: what would the world be like if Richard Nixon had not initiated Watergate and was elected to a third term in office?

Zack Snyder's masterpiece. A great translation to the screen. Even those who don't like the film must admit this film has scenes that are second to none, like the opening sequence. The behind the scenes features as well as the picture in picture commentary are also well worth a view.

Great story of human behavior and mankind's failure to live in peace. Depressing, hypnotic, hopeful, frightening, confusing...covers the entire range of emotions in a world gone mad. Hard to watch and impossible to turn away.

All other comic book flicks are trash. Watchmen is the greatest. Enjoy Zack Snyder's greatest film before he went on to make typical Marvel wannabe garbage for D.C. This is his best work. The peak of Zach Snyder and everything after was garbage trash can comic book cliché cringefest.

The DTS audio really punches up the movie to a new level. The picture quality is much improved also. A great find in the discount bin. $4.99. Although the Directors Cut makes the movie that much better, it also turns an already long movie into a really long movie. Some would say much to long....

Overall, an excellent movie conceiving a darker approach to comic books/graphic novels. If one is to watch it expecting the marvel cinematic universe crowd pleaser kid-friendly type vibe, the viewer is wrong. It is made for adults only.
