I would consider Watchmen to be the most beautiful and faithful comic adaptation created thus far. It is easily Zack Snyder's best work, and oozes with life as pages of the comic come to like. This 4K transfer is gorgeous, and the Ultimate Cut is stellar.

Movie: If you're a fan of the comic (graphic novel) this version is even closer. But, it is really long now, take an intermission or something. HD: This is the first 4k Ultra that I have bought, to tell the truth I think the TV made more difference than the HD disc.

A decent 4k transfer (upscaled from a 2k master). Most noticeable improvement is in the strong use of HDR to boost the contrast range throughout. Though the included DolbyTrue 5.1 track is excellent, the lack of an upgrade/re-mix to ATMOS seems like a missed opportunity.

The Watchmen is a very polarized movie. I enjoyed it when I saw it in theaters. I've seen it another few times in standard blu ray 1080 and enjoyed it. But watching it in 4K made the experience that much better. I highly recommend. The movie looked great.

This movie is a grown ups comic book film. Maybe that's why I appreciate it more at 32 than I did at 20. Either way, this movie was tailor-made for UHD, and it does not disappoint.

Ultimate Cut version has "Tales of the Black Freighter" interwoven with the movie, as well as extra moments added to scenes. If you have a 4k TV and love Watchmen, then you need to add this to your collection!

In addition to the 25 minutes of added new footage incorporated into the movies Director's Cut. This, the "Ultimate Cut" version introduces the animated sequence that's based on the "Tales of the Black Freighter" story. This 4K version improves on the Blu-Ray disc.

One of my favorite non Marvel movies involving superheroes... Or just guys that have abilities and one super hero really. Excellent movie just made for 4k with an excellent sound quality also!

Take Zach Snyder/Director toss in a cult graphic comic and you've got the ingredients of a great, dark superhero film that sets the genre on its ear....or on its fanny. Good movie with great incentive to purchase ($6.99 pricetag + free "Batman vs Superman" movie ticket.) Need I say more?

It's a grown up comic book movie. The book is pretty dark and the movie does a decent job of conveying the darkness. Not quite as good as the book (mainly because there wasn't enough time to fit it all in), but they do as good as you can hope. Would make for a great mini-series one day.

For those of you that like the classic comic book and graphic novel super heroes that we grew up with, this movie is perfect for you. Complex story line, dark themes, and incredible character depth leads to a story that will keep you trapped through the entire movie.

the movie itself is great, I purchased this for the steelbook and loved it. The finish inside and outside was exceptional. It did not have digital copy which was fine by me, i already own it. It also have a Batman v Superman $8 movie voucher. what a steal for $6.99!

Worst review I can give. I was super excited to watch this digitally with a redeem code only to find out there ISNT one! All movies should have this by now its 2023! and if they dont it should be noted in a BIG HEADER on this listing on the main page of the title. Not cool, no I have to go buy a HDR 4K players for probably a lot of money that I dont want to spend.

I bought the Blu-Ray version of this Ultimate Cut many years ago and decided to upgrade to the 4K version. Just note that the Director's Cut included with this film is in Blu-Ray (not 4K). Comes with a Digital HD code that you can redeem at VUDU!

I really enjoy this epic film and it's even better on blu-ray. Probably my favorite Zack Snyder film after the remake of Dawn of the Dead. Strong cast and a proven story as it's based on the graphic novel. It's a dark superhero story, so it may not be for everyone.

Fans that saved their money for the arrival of the Ultimate Cut in 4K, will be quite pleased with the set as is. It boasts a stunning video transfer, a rousing Dolby TrueHD audio track, and a generous helping of special features and previously released titles

With the popularity of the Watchmen series on HBO, it was fun to go back and watch the movie again. Really liked this director's cut version for the extra scenes and content on the Blu-ray.

Amazing superhero movie. It’s hard to live up to the comic, but this does a solid job. Looks great in blu ray. Director’s Cut is best version in my opinion. No digital copy.

This movie needs to be watched at least once every 3 months. What an awesome movie! A complete deconstruction of the superhero genre. I could never get tired of this movie and adding in the HDR UHD to mix makes everything that much more enjoyable!!
