This filter is very easy to install, it works well and it lasts a long time.

I was told (informally by a store employee) that these filters should last 1 year even though the reminder comes up at 6 months on the fridge. I don't measure how much water we've consumed to know if we've already used 200 gallons as noted as the capacity for these filters, but the water now comes out as a trickle after only 5 months of use. I bought the more expensive name brand vs. generic due to concerns about the quality since this is water we drink, but I was hoping it would last longer. I'll try one more and see how long it lasts before contacting LG and/or Geek Squad.

I always stick with the manufacturer brand. I tried the other brand which has two filters for the same price and water didn’t taste good.

I only have to change my filter once a year. It works well and is easy to replace.

The filter has a timed usage rather than a gallon usage. So after 6 months of use the message appears that tells me it is time to replace my water filter.

Expensive filter, but I'd rather spend more on something this important. I bought this for my LG refrigerator so I think it's best to get the OEM filter.

The filter is easy to locate. The filter is easy to instal. I would reccommed to others. The downside is the filter is expensive.
