It only makes since that Best Buy should stock the filters since they sell the refridgerators, but that was not always the case. I previously had to order the item from the Best Buy parts warehouse under a separate account sign in and did not receive rewards points for the purchase. Turns out you have to buy the product in store or online thru Best Buy (not warehouse supplies) to get points.

Product does the job. Water is crisp and clean and the ice is pure. No funny flavor. My only complaint is the price of the filter.

This is a required maintenance part for the new LG refrigerator we purchased. It is easy to remove the old and install the new, but the part is very expensive at $50 every 6 months or so, particularly for elderly folks on fixed incomes. Hence the 3-star rating.

I have an LG refer and the only filter is the LG. I'm not a fan of the LG ice maker as it has continual problems of low production. The refer is great otherwise
