After 2 months the water would slow down and it wouldn't produce the same amount of ice. Do not get this filter. It's better and cheaper to purchase the filters online. They actually last for around 5 months since we have such high usage.

Ordering them online is such an easy and hassle free way to stay stocked on the filters. Ordering two is sufficient for free shipping and the cost of the filters is the same or less than other sources.

In theory this is a six month span, but in my household that 500 gallons is in reality about 3-4 months. I wish the filter lasted longer because it is a $49 purchase every 3-4 months, but I suppose that is a small price to pay for mostly pure water.

No one even attempt to dust it off. I don’t know how good it would work, since most filters have activated charcoal in it. How long it remains good or activated?
