A tip for changing out the filter: Use pliers to grip the old filter and don't be afraid of breaking it when you twist. Really hard without pliers. You won't break it and it doesn't matter anyway. Don't use the pliers on the new filter. Hand turning is easy. Only removal is hard. Also, since it needs to be changed every 6 months, there is a big surge I demand just before major holiday sales so buy it prior to those sales when everyone buys the refrigerators.
