THE ONLY MINOR COMPLAINT I HAVE IS THE PRICE. SAMSUNG MAKES IT EASY ENOUGH FOR IT TO BE REMOVED AND TO HAVE THE NEW ONE INSTALLED. I USE 2-3 A YEAR. THAT WINDS UP BEING A HUGE EXPENSE OVER THE LIFETIME OF THE FRIDGE.

Then just turn off water, turn filter to left to unlock, replace, turn to right, turn water back on, press and hold light button (i think) and filter alarm is cleared. Google product manual for more accurate details about clearing the alarm

It has been a few months since changing the last one. It's easy to change out and I suggest doing it often for fresh water and ice.
