I had forgotton that you are supposed to run the water until the water clears up. I was supprised to find black charcoal in my water when I first used it after changing the filter. This did clear up after running about a gallon thru.

Removing the filter and replacing it with the new one was a breeze. Another reason I am very pleased with this Samsung refrigerator.

Need to use brand name - otherwise your warranty might be void if something goes wrong with the water or ice maker part of the fridge.
