I purchased the Samsung brand to make sure the first replacement was with the company who built the fridge. Are 'generic' filters good, yes... but I wanted to first use the company name brand.

Even with an RO system installed we still use the water from fridge more often... it's much colder than the spicket.

It was on the shelf, so I didn't need anyone to help me find it. I couldn't shut off the water because the fridge is off its rollers to keep the freezer drawer closed. After pushing hard on the filter I was able to lock the filter in place.
