OK but doesn't last long

In our case I suspect that is because of our exceptionally hard water. However, we should be getting softer treated river water soon, so I am hoping the filters will last a bit longer - the 6 months they are supposed to last. These filters are not cheap.

About the water filter in your Samsung Refrigerator.
when it’s time to change it, which is about every 6 months. First make sure you purchase a genuine Samsung filter made specifically for your fridge model. You can find replacements on Samsung.com. When you’re ready to replace it, turn off the water line to the fridge, drain the waterline by running the dispenser, and then turn the old filter counterclockwise to pull it out. After you insert the new filter, turn it clockwise to lock it in place, and then turn your water valve back on. All that’s left is to run the water for a few minutes to flush it and reset the replace filter alert on your fridge.

Within a couple of weeks after installing the new filter, I again got the same warning light. Not sure if it is the refrigerator or the filter but the water has tasted good and I have not noted any issues.

It was a big relief when I found one at Best Buy. It is important to change it every six month or when your refrigerator ask for a change in order to keep you drinking clean water
