||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife made me convert back to Sam Sung brand.... the knock off water filter according to her was making the water “smell bad.” I’m not sure if that is 100% true but it’s best to stick to OEM in most cases.

OK but doesn't last long
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This filter works fine, but it does not last 6 months - it is more like 5 months. In our case I suspect that is because of our exceptionally hard water. However, we should be getting softer treated river water soon, so I am hoping the filters will last a bit longer - the 6 months they are supposed to last. These filters are not cheap.

Posted .Hello happycustomer,
Thank you for reaching out. We will take note of your feedback as this helps us improve more especially on the quality of the products we offer.
About the water filter in your Samsung Refrigerator.
when it’s time to change it, which is about every 6 months. First make sure you purchase a genuine Samsung filter made specifically for your fridge model. You can find replacements on Samsung.com. When you’re ready to replace it, turn off the water line to the fridge, drain the waterline by running the dispenser, and then turn the old filter counterclockwise to pull it out. After you insert the new filter, turn it clockwise to lock it in place, and then turn your water valve back on. All that’s left is to run the water for a few minutes to flush it and reset the replace filter alert on your fridge.

filter vs. refrigerator
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.while thrilled with my samsung refrigerator, the warning light indicated the need to change the filter resulting in my purchase. Within a couple of weeks after installing the new filter, I again got the same warning light. Not sure if it is the refrigerator or the filter but the water has tasted good and I have not noted any issues.
