The filter must be the one designed for the refrigerator owned. So, what can really be said about a refrigerator water filter. It fits! It filters water! The water supplied makes good ice cubes and drinking water.

We don't use the water option much even with the filter. We have a soft water system and a separate system for drinking under the sink. This does keep our ice from tasting weird.
