    We needed replacement filters and coupled with other items, I was able to get these under a 24 month promotion. I prefer the actual filters to compatibles.

    Depending on how many people use the refrigerator in your home, you may need to replace this filter a few times a year. There are 3 in our house and we change it out every year. Not cheap but you have no choice!

    I still see floaties in the water. Not impressed, but it's convenient. I think my old Brita pitcher filtered way better. At $50 per filter (lasts about 6 months), I'm giving serious thought to going back to Brita.

    I believe you should match the brand filter with refrigerator you purchase. Other brands only save you five bucks.
