That's because, even though Samsung lists the same model number, this filter comes in 2 different versions, one of which may not fit in your refrigerator. For mine, a newer showcase model, the version with the rounded top fits and the version with an angular top does not. So choose wisely.

The water tastes "clean and clear" but the last filter I bought only lasted 3 months instead of the projected 6 months and we don't use the filtered water that much so I'm wondering why the alarm went off so quickly. Another concern is how expensive this filter is. At this rate it would cost me $200 a year.
