It is supposed to last about six months! There should be a false advertising claim, since this is the third filter with the same short life.

Posted .Hi Grafikus. This icon will light up when you need to change the filter. After you use about 300 gallons of water, the filter indicator lights up. ^Gaby

I have them set to auto reorder and the timing works perfect. Saves a trip to the store. Also these area actual Samsung filters for our refrigerator. I bought an off market filter once, looked like the original, but it wasn’t. Had some issues and then replaced it with real Samsung filters and never a problem again.

I called Samsung who sent a tech to look at my refridgerator. Tech said filter can only do so much. You have hard hard water and are going to have to call a plumber to pin point your problem.
