Pulling out the fridge and turning of the water line becomes tedious. They should've made a filter to last a year.

when it’s time to change it, which is about every 6 months. First make sure you purchase a genuine Samsung filter made specifically for your fridge model. You can find replacements on Samsung.com. When you’re ready to replace it, turn off the water line to the fridge, drain the waterline by running the dispenser, and then turn the old filter counterclockwise to pull it out. After you insert the new filter, turn it clockwise to lock it in place, and then turn your water valve back on. All that’s left is to run the water for a few minutes to flush it and reset the replace filter alert on your fridge.

This is my second purchase of this filter both from bestbuy, and I am not happy with the filters life span. The one that came with the refrigerator was good for 6 months, then I got a "replace filter" warning from the refrigerator; I found time to replace the filter after 7 months. All was great for so far. Here is where the issue starts. The first replacement lasted around 2 months, then it just clogged to where water comes out really slow. It takes 1 minute'ish to fill a 2 cup glass. It's been 1 month now, as of this review, and this second filer has not clogged (so far). We will see, I will update this review on my next filter purchase.
