    We have found that it is often difficult to get the correct filter online so being able to pick it up in store is very convenient. The filter is the filter so it works.

  • Works now..but after it leaked

    I followed all the directions properly and after initially installing it, it leaked everywhere and caused a lot of damage to my floors. It did not seal properly the first time I installed it. But by taking it out and reinstalling it, it works fine now. Pretty expensive for a water filter that only lasts 6 months

    What can I say? 2 Samsung refrigerator filters seem to be doing the job of filtering our water and ice from our Samsung refrigerator which we bought from Best Buy and love.

    I was able to get this when I price matched it to amazon and the price was great. I’m on my second filter for the year. I’m sure Best Buy price was better than Samsung’s

    The Samsung filter is way overpriced the proprietary to the fridge it goes out way too often needs to be replaced way to often. Just another way for Samsung to keep on making more money for cheap product. Don't recommend but many of us don't have a choice

      Hi Nickname,

      I'm sorry to hear you don't find value in your water filter. Please note that the HAF-CIN filter is designed to filter up to 300 gallons of water, which would last for approximately 6 months in homes with average usage of the dispenser and ice maker. If yours isn't lasting that long, it's possible your water supply has higher than normal levels of minerals or debris, which could clog the filter prematurely. A plumber may be able to advise you on this, and whether you may benefit from a whole-house filtration system. If you do choose to install an external filtration system then it wouldn't be necessary to maintain the internal filter in your refrigerator; you could simply remove it and leave the cartridge housing empty. Please note, however, that Samsung doesn't recommend operating the water and ice features without an external or internal filter since the same mineral deposits could damage the refrigerator water lines over time.

    These filters are ok at best. When we tested it was showing 270 particles were still in our water after filtration. That is unacceptable especially for the cost of this thing.

      Hello Mike, we understand your concerns and we appreciate the feedback. The water filter removes unwanted particles from your water. However, it does not sterilize or destroy microorganisms. You may need to purchase a water purifying system to do that. The water filter is used to reduce contaminants such as lead, mercury, and pharmaceuticals that may be present in water.     For what it is, it is a bit pricey, but I can usually get a little over 7 months or so worth out of one cartridge. But if you buy it at least 2 at a time, you do save some coin.
