Hit and miss

I complained to Best Buy and they didn’t want to know. Called Samsung - not interested. I purchaeed a new filter which worked well immediately. I just feel cheated that the previous new one (costing over $50) was useles and meant I couldn’t use my fridge water and ice supply for weeks. I know things can be faulty but feel disappointed that both Best Buy and Samsung wouldn’t stand behind their product.

Genuine Samsung

I heard horror stories of the off brand filters leaking and not fitting properly. I set my order to automatically deliver one every 6 months so I’ll never have to worry about it again. Pretty nice feature to Best Buy’s ordering system.

So easy anyone can change the filter!

Really - it's as easy as that! I've struggled in the past with filters that were VERY difficult to change. Just make sure you run several gallons of water through to remove filter impurities & air in the line. Good for another six months.
