Samsung water filter is the only one I use and trust in my Samsung Refrigerator. Easy to install and love that I don't have to "soak" in water prior to using.

The new filter was easy to install and seems to work fine. Living in Florida we use the water system on the fridge often so the life of the filter is somewhat shorter than normal.

I would recommend using the name brand for your refrigerator. The off brands are cheaper but are more frequently causing leaks from the water line. Don't think pay $50 is real fair, but considering you only change it every six months, you can deal with it.

This filter works great for the 6 months or more that it's suppose to. The water taste very good and there is a strong flow. Definitely can tell when it's time to replace.
